California, San Francisco to be precise. It's not certain yet though - I'm still battling other students for a workplacement over there.

If I make it then I'll be in San Fran from January till July and I would go back to Europe by the end of August only - giving me two months to travel from the West Coast to the East Coast and really dig into the American Lands and cultures.

My grandmother is my biggest supporter in all of this. Obviously she's seen WWII so she has this view of the world as England and America as the only safe places; she's also convinced peace in Europe won't last. I think her exact words were: "Now you make sure you get to America, boy, and don't you come back! Blood will flow again over European lands, you need but study history to draw that conclusion."

Well alright he doesn't but if I wanna receive another invitation for the moderator job at the next occasion so I can turn it down and flatter my own ego, I can't be seen with someone who's been banned on several occasions for posting pictures of his nuts :D

:howler: True that.

And that statement right there goes a long way for my future consideration as mod. It was my own damn account FFS. :D

But of course! I even roast my own beans at home. It's pretty sick. :p
Jesus, and I thought making a caffèlatte (heating up milk etc) was a lengthy process :D

And in the meantime, I can steer you towards many of the places in the area I recommend ;) :

That's pretty nice actually. Wish we had list like that for The Hague, would've saved me a year and a gazillion nasty coffees.
