15 in the U.S., you can get a learner's permit...drive with someone with a full license present in the car...or at least that's the rule in Louisiana. I got mine when I was 16.

In Egypt, it's 18.

About your age. Passed the written; flunked the driving test the first time (the jerk instructor made me drive around for 1 hour after he had decided to flunk me )

He tricked me (told me to cut across 2 lanes to make a left turn). They are not supposed to do that.

Yeah, same here. Law required minimum is 35 lessons, at 7.5 € per lesson.


Whole thing cost me around 400€ and took around 2 months.

America is the easiest place to get a license.

I did my theory on the internet with the book wide open.

For the practical test, we just drive around an enclosed little area, do a three point, reverse, park and that's it.

Back at home u can buy ur license though.

Yeah I took the course and I still don't feel I'm ready for my G2 road test. I think I'll go for it at the beginning of September.

18 years is the legal age. First you apply for a Provisional which you use while driving under instruction until you seat for a theory & practical test. Don't know how much it costs now but I paid US$ 50 for the lessons & driving test. BTW country is Kenya.

Yeah! I had to take my theory test at DMV. And guess what? All the questions were from the set of practice questions on the internet! I made a 21 out of 20!
