Luiz isn't a bad player, he was very good at Villa, I will keep saying it. But football isn't as simple as transplanting a player from one team and country to another and they are the same, there are all sorts of technical, mental, personal and physical reasons why moves don't work out. All I know for sure is that he's one of many flops, so the cause of that needs to be worked out. It's like Man Utd, doesn't matter who they sign, they are invariably shit, it's a wider issue. We aren't signing shit players, but why are they ending up like that?
look at antony. he's a douche for sure but was good enough before utd signed him. utter shit at manchester, 0g0a during this season iirc. he moves to betis, 3g1a in 4 games or something like that
same with our koopmeiners, luiz, nico trio. a great asset for a europa league winning good team, an integral piece of an overachieving villa side and probably the best attacking player for fiorentina. all good players coming from good seasons. yet they suck here for most of their time
it's a club issue. i don't know what's happening behind the scenes at continassa but one thing is sure: the atmosphere isn't of a serious club aiming to win. if the club is in survival mode and it shows then it's hard to blame the players or even the coach for everything
i remember how inda looked like when marotta took over. it was a hot mess. then he fired icardi, signed conte and they were a competitive club once again. we need a similar shift before blaming everything on our players
