Fine, he has no confidence. I accept that.
But take away those two penalty fuck ups, lets assume that this is nothing more than a bad form, and tell me please, those of you who watched him in the EPL, what is this guy able to offer to our team?

It's clear that he's slow and his defensive part of the game lacks quite a lot. Is he then a better passer than what he's showing so far?

Alisha is losing confidence as well. She wants to be with someone who's good on the pitch... and off it. :klin:

Don't mind this development one bit. Mckennie and Alisha ride off into the sunset to some trash MLS team while 60M David Luiz finally focuses on his football? Sign me up!

i didn't watch him enough. i have a sports journalist buddy who did though, and he said that luiz is a very calm and good passer, ideal for possession play, can carry the ball forward (allegedly a thuram skill too, yet to be seen though), and scores, assists, dribbles a lot for a midfielder. he's supposed to be a good player based on his years in the pl

then again, pl teams don't defend like italians. the transition from one league to an other can be a rough ride, and i mean both playing in and against a more defensive minded, tactically less flexible setup. he might end up never fitting in a serie a team

i still won't exclude that it's an operation suggested by elkann to save villa's budget. the villa owner is a member of exor's partners council

Honestly I recognise the passing, dribbling and calmness in his underwhelming displays so far. I think that he has the attributes to become a good midfielder for us eventually.

Luiz has put Motta in a tough spot. Can’t completely bench him because of the investment, but also hasn’t shown he deserves playing time. Just gotta hope his time will come. That penalty vs leipzig was just pure reflex protecting himself, today not so much, just pure clumsiness. Easy to abandon a player when he’s in a bad moment, but he needs a reset.

I completely disagree. Nonsense.

I couldn’t have said it better myself
