Just because he's not in the proper rotation now doesn't mean he's already written off and is a flop, some players need longer to understand what the coach needs tactically, and to get into good shape. It's not a surprise to see the guys used to Serie A playing from the first minute and others taking more time to settle in.
This. Remember how abysmal Rabiot was in the first weeks, if not months?

What a dumb comparison. Rabiot came from being benched almost entire season . Luiz came from being one of the best players in epl having played 35 out of 38 league games with double digits in G + A. He missed two games to suspension and no injuries. That shows he is fittest juve player

what integration does he need? stop making excuses for motta.

Dude, it was Aston Villa. They aren’t even that good, plus play against weak defenses.

This is all on Jungroli.

Wow, he must be really overrated if he can’t make that squad.

Bro you need to stop calling him David Luiz lol.

Thuram did yes, but it was at home to Como. McKennie wasn't ready then as he was 250 pounds, now he's down to 200.

This isn't some giant leap I've made here, these guys will play when they deserve to. Or is he just another backward 'Italian' coach already?
No, he is only a half Italian coach, which is good.

The only giant leap I see here is when David Luiz makes the jump from grass to sand in his future beach footvolley club.

Finally read an article where an outsider was saying Luiz lazy as fuck the one match he started. What's the word posters here use when calling such players from Brazil? Douglas please don't turn into Sandro right off the start of your Juve career. We want to like you lots!

Give credit to Motta not treating him special with babying him it appears. Maybe he's called Luiz out in private and has balls to bench him ass. Opposite of Max giving non-performing veterans chance after chance.

No Club Juve under Motta!

He was OK, but the match was already over and Genoa was crap. Didn't really do anything to change the game.

Expensive super sub to keep possession like Arturd.

but lazy in training doesn't mean lazy in pitch. this guy played 35 epl matches of high intensity football. he had 9 goals an 5 assists in those matches. that's not lazy at all of a performance. it's like calling pirlo or xavi lazy because they don't sprint entire match body slamming players.
