Unless he does something remarkable to conclude the season, he's gotta go next summer. And it would have to be something pretty special. Didn't we offload Morata after he clutched in the CL for us?

Chiesa to replace him looks like something that might happen.

Not by choice. We wanted to keep him but Madrid had a buyback option which they utilised.

as @Paid-off-Ref wrote, real had a buyback clause, that situation was completely out of our hands once we signed that deal.

btw costa would be a useful mercenary if he was available. he'd be pretty hard to get rid of with this injury record.
How useful can an injured player be? That trequartista spot is up for grabs. He would be a lock if he were fit but he ain't. So we should find someone who can be.

Could be easily top five player without his injuries but we cant rely on a player who play only 20% of the matches. The jokes are over after January, its time to win the fucking cup.
WE HAVE CRISTIANO FUCKING RONALDO, MR.CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, TOP SCORER IN THE HISTORY OF THE FUCKING CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. Its time to become the king of europe.

Our CL campaign is going as well as it is largely because of this guy. Fishy memory you have there
largely might just be a tiny bit of a stretch. he played like 15 minutes, and was unavailable for 4 of our 5 matches so far. true, he scored a brilliant winner in moscow, but where was he when the team collected 10 points of the remaining 4 matches?

without costa's last second winner, the group standings _could_ look like this:
juve 11
atleti 7
bayer 6
lokomotiv 4

looks like juve could have already won the group without his contribution.

Hope he is available for the knockout round he adds a different dimension to our attack
