André Krieger*(Gremio's manager):"The negotiations for the player was made in mid 2008 and we know that the player could leave at any time."

~2.3mln euros

Sounds good.

EDIT:btw this means for Juventus

He is benched in Gremio, and he is frustrated so its even more likely we will sign him now instead of in the summer.

A Gremio fan in XT said that he is in Italy right now to get italian passport, and also doing a medical, didnt get the last part, medical in general with top experts due to injury, or with us? Doubt it, because we cant be that foregone in the interest for him, right?

And yeah, seems very cheap, so thats nice.

Yeah, seems like everything points to us about to sign him anytime now. But he will stay in Gremio til the summer it seems.

If he was playing and had a good relationship with the club (apparently adored by the fans though), then I would say ok. But it seems he is benched in Gremio, and has a tense and strenous relationship with the coach/club, so perhaps 6 more months of bench warming might be likely, and in that case we might aswell take him now.

Not extra info, what I read from Gremio fans is he is a typical brazilian fullback who excells well offensively, silky dribbler. Enthusiastic player offenively in general (we are blind until he plays for us, because he isnt on youtube :D). And since he is so young, also quite raw and unpolished, but seems to be eager to mark and defend too (though might be unreliable info, because heard it from two Gremio fans, one negative or pessimistic, the other fanboyish, hehe). Good that we are going into the brazilian market, especially in the fullback position which they produce quality after another.

Hope this is an end to our fetish/niche with Uruguay :p I mean, in ALL of south america, we decided to specialize in a mid level footie country who has only 2-3m in population (where someone like Olivera was the biggiest talent produced in a while, simply mathemathics, too small to produce alot). And completely ignored their neighbours of 185m people, who proven they produce the best of the best. Made little sense.

Pretty much what I heard also but thanks. So,

Molinaro-Chiellini-Legro-Mattioni

And we'd have Grygera on the bench...we should sell Zebina if someone's still interested. He gets 2.5/year and he doesn't even play. But I think Mattioni is going warm our bench for some time.

Yeah I know that guy.He looks technically gifted and promising but I don't think we can pull it off. :D At least not for now.

by the way,are we planning to use De Ceglie as LB or AML?

Looks like we don't have much money to spend in this transfer window so it would be nice if we get Mattioni.Getting some yough player and loaning him out for one year would be sweet though.

Your definition of sweet is weird if it includes us loaning him out for one year ;) But I understand you are just adjusting to the reality of our club.

He looks like Robinho, but more inventive, weirdly enough. Yeah I dont think we will sign him either, but it would be nice if we would. Being after Mattioni is suprising enough, let alone us getting one the craque's of Brazil currenly.

But hey, never say never, atleast we now know Man U, who was the only team after him, wont get him. I mean enough is enough in hoarding top youngsters, there is no room anymore with Nani, Anderson doing bench time, and the two serbs in Tosic and Ljajic coming in. All wingers/AMs. They filled their quota ;) So shouldnt be competition.

Hehe yeah well I'm looking realisticly.I don't think we can't afford one more player to be in our first team plans so buying one promising youngester for future would be good IMO.

Arsenal can still go after him though. :D If we can't get him yet maybe some pre-contract would be a good thing to do.
