Juventus could sell their half of Domenico Berardi to Sassuolo, albeit with a buyback clause, according to reports.

The 20-year-old striker is co-owned by the two clubs, and has enjoyed a stellar season for the Neroverdi once again, with 14 goals and nine assists in 31 games.

Tuttosport reports that Juve general manager Giuseppe Marotta will have a series of meetings with the player’s agent over the next few weeks, as well as with Sassuolo.

The Bianconeri can sign Berardi for €15m in the first 10 days of June, or €20m thereafter. Since all co-ownerships must be resolved this summer, the other option is for both clubs to 'go to the envelopes’ in a blind auction.

Tuttosport suggests that rather than allowing that to happen, the Old Lady will sell their share in Berardi, much as happened with Simone Zaza.

A clause would then be inserted into the deal allowing Juventus to sign Berardi for a set fee over the next two years.

I don't like it. Berardi is a hot name on the transfer market - if we allow Sassuolo to buy him (even with a clause) this encourages other clubs to make offers to Sass. Let's say buyback clause is 20m and Inter/Milan/random club comes in the summer with 30m, what now?

We have the right to refuse it.

'We'? I thought he'll be a Sassuolo player and the only thing we'll have is a possibility to buy him for a fixed price?
With buyback option comes first refusal.Juve will have the option on him to buy him back.

You think if we say, try to sell Morata to another club,Madrid wont have the right to intervene ? Ofcourse they have every right to do so.

Sassuolo wont be able to sell Berardi without our consent. That should be clear.
