Sassuolo's style really limits his game.

He plays the whole game stucked at the RW position (even though he plays like an inside forward, always driving to the center with his left foot, he rarely goes to the right flank as a real winger).

He traces back and runs like hell all the time, has great stamina.

But as Sassuolo only plays in counters, Berardi has typically 2 moves: play a long ball to Zaza with his left or carry the ball to the middle. Always in counters.

Also he is the responsible for dead balls and puts up big numbers with this.

I'm just not sure about him.
People just want their "italian talent nuovo del piero"-fairytale to work.

-kid plays as winger at a midfield team
-he does kinda well but folks don't unanimously agree he does that great
-folks want Beppe to splash 15M to have him play in a system he has never shown himself in. In a game philosophy that contradicts his features

I also want this fairytale but I don't believe it will work out.

Which is why we shouldn't leave him there. I think we should definitely buy his second half and if we feel he needs to stay on loan another year, loan him to a club like Lazio, he'd improve there while I feel that he's stagnating at Sassuolo.

With all respect to you sir, but if you think that this is what it is about, then that is incorrect. At least with me it is incorrect

Of all the games I've seen Berardi play, he just doesn't seem to play well. It's weird. He does sacrifices a lot tracing back, and he is a very decisive player. But you don't see him actually playing well. Can't really explain it.
That`s how is Muller at Bayern. He cant drible, cant run but he scores;p

Yeah I don't get why people fap so hard over Dybala and don't like Berardi. it is because we already have him/he is Italian im guessing. Not a shiny new toy in a way.
Well reading these kind of comments, you'd have to think Italy is churning out Del Piero/Totti-esque talents every year and people are some kind of first rate xenophobic idiots to not want these players because of their nationality.
For me its too soon to speak anyway.I'm not some sort of expert talent scout to give a definitive view that said player is going to turn out 'this way' but i guess time will decide things.
For the record,i'd love Verratti as a 'shiny new toy' but thats a very remote possibility.

I don't think Juve is rich enough to loan out a player valued at around €30m... sell half with a buyback clause is the best Juve can do to give him playing time and still hold on to the possibility of him playing for Juve.

Since when is Lazio that type of team that we loan them players?

Well that is my point, hell, bring them both. See who is better, see if they both fit.
I may be wrong but i dont think we have that luxury. If we do,and if Berardi is happy to fight it out at Juve, then by all means bring him back.

But if its down to the choice between the two,i'd choose the Argentinian for a no.of reasons(footballing reasons mainly)

If Dybala is out of reach,i hope we can buy someone good in that case and this excludes bringing back Berardi.

If we are broke, then i'd happily settle for Berardi but it doesnt look like it seems to be the case.

Agreed.

Except if we are broke, I'd rather spend 15M on Pastore but as you said it doesn't seem to be the case.

Dybala & Anderson were sorta unknown until this year. Maybe sparks last year but Berardi has been in the headlines for a couple years now (and is younger).

We should certainly bring him back to give him a shot here. Gives us options for formations/tactics and quite possibly the next big thing. But of course, depending on finances this could be an issue.

I wonder if we could slot some new younger players into the deal for Sass to lower the clause if they would consider? Maybe Coman for a year and knock off 5m? :boh:

Beppe is working on Dybala now as we already have Berardi options. Id be very happy to sign Dybala and Berardi for most of the budget and wait a little for a quality left back.

Whew, hard to believe the rumors on Dybala when foreign interest is looming. I agree though, would be great to bring both. Selling Llorente & Ogbonna could help push us in the right direction financially. Offering some youth as well?

Coman to Torino for a season for a bargain on Darmian? :D

So many opportunities. I can't help but wonder what youth we are scouting around the world. We signed some Albanian kid from Serie B? :D
