Judging young talents solely by goals & assists is even more retarded than judging players in their prime the same way. I'm not saying I know that Berardi's gonna make it or anything, haven't really seen much of him this season, but you surely won't be able to tell just by looking at his g&a stats.

Serie B 11 goals, no penalties
last season 16 goals, 6 penalties
this season so far 11 goals, 6 penalties

38 goals, 12 penalties

so not even 1/3 were penalties
Is Serie B stats even relevant ? Not for me.

Considering his Serie A stats,27 goals in which 12 of them are penos so thats nearly half the number.

So you're not exactly standing on a strong argument here.

One needs to think how many more assists the kid would have having more capable players around him. He seems to be that can easily set up goals for others.

Oh definitely agree with you.But by just watching him for a few games, you'd just get the feeling he's not Juve material yet.And Juve demands a high level of quality now as far as offense is concerned so for me he's not at the required level for the moment.
He'd be a good signing for Inter or Milan right now but not Juve which is challenging for major honors. We can surely do better than Berardi.

which is why we are looking at Dybala.

Having Berardi as a bench player might be good too. He is useful all over attack.

Yeah, as I said I haven't watched him much this season, and if I did it was against strong teams, so not a really fair sample to judge him - He did seem rather inconsistent within single games though, meaning that there were occasional flashes of brilliance, a great pass or shot accompanied by a couple of poor turnovers in between.
It's just a bit sad to see virtually every discussion about players here boil down to goals and assists, which especially with young players doesn't make much sense in most cases.

Seriously dude, who the fuck cares about his season in Serie B !?

What matters to me is how he's fared in the top flight and as far as his stats are concerned, nearly half of them have INDEED been penos.I dont care if i', technically wrong but i'm making a valid point here.

Because he was was, 18 years old? Regardless of division it's pretty impressive for a teenager to throw around those numbers. I'd see your point if he was 25

Transfermarkt counts 19 assists in 55 Serie A games, though they do count the penalties he has won. Whoscored has 12, 6 each season.
Not bad for a kid tho

How many assists does he have on 3 seasons @zizinho
Serie A (not counting penalties won) 6 assists last season, 6 more this season. Serie B also 6 assists.

thats 38 goals, 18 (without penalties won, but they count as assists in some leagues i think) assists in 3 seasons of football playing as a winger and hes still 20 years old :tuttosport:

Being a bench player wont do any good for him.Letting him stay there would be better.

Your youth hype-train wont last long.Sturaro will be soon loaned out,as will Coman.

I'd be cool loaning Coman. I think sturaro is doing fine to stay otherwise why would we have brought him back for half a season only let him go again?

They are irrelevant but I think Dybala this year is a must and let Berardi another year or two at Sass.

just wanted to clear things, thats all :D

considering he has won most of the penalties himself, i dont mind if he scored so much of them. but even if we dont count them, 2 seasons (not full yet), 55 games ( 52 starts), 15 goals is great for a 20 year old winger
