"The intensity he brings to his play is exemplified by a late-season fracas last year between Berardi and Vincenzo Fiorillo, then the goalkeeper at Livorno. ESPN's Mina Rzouki refers to the fight in her profile of the youngster published in November. The altercation saw both of them sent off and Berardi suspended, which is why Sassuolo was without him for the first few weeks of the season."

"Many question his attitude, considering the debacle with the U-19 Azzurri squad. He refused to report, even though he was called up. As a result, Berardi was suspended from international duty until March. However, his coach, Eusebio Di Francesco, claims that the youngster realizes what he did wrong and is determined to make up for it."

that are the discipline problems i found...

I'm not passing an opinion on this guy, just saying that the video didn't show me much brilliance, only piss poor defending that looked like MLS 2nd division stuff.
Sure there was some awful defending in that video but Berardi's greatest attributes are his movement, positioning and finishing. He can dribble and shoot but he's first and foremost a clutch player like Muller. In fact he's very similar to Muller, efficiency above fanciness.

That's why his videos are not that flashy but I'd take an efficient beast over a fancy dribbler who has no end product any day. I'm sure @Zacheryah agrees :D

I really don't know why we didn't recall him this season. He has reached his peak at Sassuolo. With Vucinic, Quagliarella and Osvaldo gone he would get his chances as he might play as a forward or winger. I would even say good bye to Giovinco and bring Berardi to Juve. We'll see, maybe Morata's injury will be the reason for him to come this summer.

this has been answered a 100 times:
- he wanted to stay at sassuolo for 1 more season.
- we had a gentlemen with sassuolo that he can stay for 1 more season if they avoid relegation.

and it´s not that we didn´t try... ;)
