I saw on twitter, he will be ours for 15mil next season? How come its so expensive, I thought we own 50% of his contract already..
it´s an option and afaik it´s a bit lower, like 13m or so. imo it´s just a safety net if he has a brilliant season and oil clubs come knocking at sassuolo´s door.

You'd think Allegri would be the first one to bring him back after all the havoc he caused against Milan, and ultimately caused Allegri to get sacked..

It's because he will play at Sassuolo. So that they can get a profit from selling a starting XI player. But this only goes to show why co-ownership deals should and will be ended by next year.

I really hate how we have ended up spending €23m on Berardi. Unproven to a certain point and not exactly a guaranteed starter when he gets here. Considering the price of Iturbe for a comparison.

At the time I remember the agreed price for us to buy Sassuolo's half of Berardi was 10m Euros. Was it not 15m that they spent buying half of Zaza from us?

Good fuck you Monaco! I know he said he wats to stay at Sass but unlike Zaza whos made it clear he wants to one day return to Juve has Berardi ever said anything of the sort?
I don't know if he said something like this but if he doesn't think that then he's a real girly man. :D

    Iturbe isnt more proven player.
True. And he's older. But Berardi lacked continuity this season. Scoring hattricks is great but he failed to score at crucial games. But but but. Sassuolo is a bottom table team and he'd thrive in a big club with better team mates etc. I really rate Berardi I just think Iturbe has had a better season. My point..

i don´t want to get in on the iturbe-argument but berardi failed to score at crucial games??
sassuolo were in deep shit with 5 games to go but then they
    1) beat chievo (direct competitor) 1:0, berardi scored the only goal.
    2) lost against juve. berardi was suspended.
    3) beat fiorentina 4:3, berardi scored a hattrick in the first half an assisted the 4th goal.
    4) beat genoa 4:2, berardi had a great game and assisted 2 goals.

it´s true that he was kinda inconsistent, "often" scored like 3/4 goals in one game and then went missing for the next two.
but he seriously stepped up when he was needed the most.

    23?

Even if we pay 15 for his remaining half, we'd have paid 19,5.

Well, consistency is a fair point as long as people realise it's because he's so young

There's nothing wrong with saying "I don't want him back yet because he's too inconsistent at this point"

    It's true.
