Yes but both those would improve our staring 11.

Roma are paying that for Doumbia and Ibarbo.
30 mill would easily buy someone like Firmino (who has the 2nd highest successful dribbles in europe behind messi) and/or even a decent left back. They would actually improve our 11 not just in the league but in europe. Zaza and Berardi would not improve our 11 perhaps our bench, berardi I can't see how he would fit in this current system, he's not a trequartista whilst Tevez and Morata are better and ought to be starting ahead of him so again he isn't exactly an improvement even if he is a decent player

Berardi played as a SS last year and he's miles ahead of Morata.
Both need more testing IMO. Morata has got few minutes...and we need to see if Berardi can succeed for us as an SS. The odds are against him...since all our SS have failed royally with the exception of Tevez, since DP.

I would like to see him as a winger.

To everyone who is upset about the 15m price tag, what would the going rate be for a winger/SS who is 20 years old who is on pace for a 12 goal, 12 assist campaign after having a 16 goal season last year?

I'm just curious, because everyone keeps talking about the price tag for this kid, and it seems that they are forgetting that he is a really good, really young player here.

So again I ask, what is the going rate?

And none of this "Oh noes, we are paying to bring our own player back, yada yada yada" because he was never ours to begin with.

For anyone upset at the 15m price tag probably wouldn't know what the going rate is.

okay so half of his goals are penalties, let's get that right. Still we will splash 30m on Zaza and Berardi and I think this is still a good business. Add cheap Rugani and Sturaro and we are set for replacing our old guys

Penalties that he more or less earns himself, so let's get that right as well.

He is also their free kick taker, and their corner kick taker.

How many 20 year olds out there have that type of responsibility? What does that say about the faith his coaches have in him?

We have a plenty of players to offer to Sassuolo instead of 15m
:beppe: got this :beppe: :beppe: :beppe: :beppe:
So you are saying that he is not worth 15 milion.

What I find so very humorous is that a lot of people were so very eager to drop nearly 30 million on Iturbe, but are so very reluctant to drop around half of that on a younger, better, more experienced player than Iturbe.

I'm trying to see the logic in all of this.

no, he worth 20-25, and if he was Berardinho/Beradessi/Berardonna then his price wouild be 40-50m

30 million for both Zaza and Berardi isn't too bad. They'd both cost combined less than Iturbe.
 and both of them are better than him

last season 16 goals, 5 penalties. this season 6 goals, 2 penalties. hardly can call that "half his goals"

agree. i think people are not so excited about him because we already own him and there is nothing "new and shiny" about him. but some dont appreciate neither his work over the last 2 seasons, nor Marottas work in bringing him here...

Ok. For a moment I thought that you believed that he wasn't worth the 15 million, in a way that he should be worth less than that. Thank you for clarifying that for me

My info tells me he scored 3 penalties from 6 goals this season, thats why i said half. Anyway, the point @King of Kings brought about the responsability is good enough I guess
