Gagne? I'm pretty sure he just signed another contract with the Flyers.

Speaking of the Flyers, they are going to be good this year with Forsberg in the team. However, their top four defenseman are all over 6foot5 and slow as molasses...this might become a problem with the new rules set in place promoting quicker play.
he signed a one year deal. :D
this means free agent in 06-07

at least you're a habs fan. :cheesy:

mark77's hockey rumours, Bredan Witt to MTL for Rivet.

Lecavalier, Gagné and Luongo in 06/07.

Are you from montreal? I have yet to meet a habs fan who isn't from Montreal. Ya I hjeard about lecavalier and luongo. They offered up Ribeiro and Theodore...or maybe it was Ryder and Theodore. I think the deal fell through though.

Penguins are the team to beat, talk about rags to riches.

You'd be surprised of all the habs fans in Ontario and the west we have. I know a couple even in NY. :D

Crosby and Lemieux. Pitts will score a lot but will be bombarded every game. no D.

anyway, Crosby will be a hab in 7 years. :D

I just heard that Montreal will be getting an NBA team.

The Montreal Matrix. I don't see how they will succeed in a predominently french city. Fact is that french canadians love hockey. My guess is that the Matrix joins the Expos six-feet under unless they have a championship winning team. (Montrealers alos love a team that can win).

Didn't know that, Dan. Hmmm...

Montreal Matrix? Why is it that new sports teams now sound more like management consulting fads?

Fold or not, you almost have to wonder if it's even possible to be any less successful than the Expos in recent years. :frown:

(Wait... I hate baseball and basketball. What am I thinking! ;) )

I like American football, cycling, and I used to play curling which was a lot of fun, not too fun to watch though. Basketball can be a lot of fun, volleyball can be fun, athletics can be fun. When I think about it I like loads of stuff, but my two "main" sports are football, both the European and American kind.
