No idea.

There was a long running debate around the time Juve were trying to sign Diego, as I recall, about who was better.
depends what you want in a player, if you want someone for creativity and goals, then Diego is your man, if you want someone who keeps the midfield ticking and a player with a good range of accurate passing, then modric is your man

Diego has reportedly rescinded his contract with Wolfsburg, so he would be available on a Bosman now.

Even with his recent history, surprised there aren't that many teams willing to give him another shot ...
no, they did decide to part ways, but diego is still under contract and will command a transfer fee

I would take him back for free .
Oh yea. He is still a good player and at the right price i wouldn;t mind him on the bnch as back up or as a plan "b" when the game isn't going our way.

Conte - you do have a plan "b" that doesn't involve shouting "Milos! Milos! Milos! don't you? Please...

Fiorentina look at Diego

Juventus flop Diego is being linked with a return to Serie A after Fiorentina were paired with his services.

The Brazilian only joined Wolfsburg on a four-year deal last summer, but he may be sold by the Bundesliga outfit.

The attacking midfielder had a problematic 2010-11 campaign in Germany and is considering his options.

Diego, 26, signed for Juventus in 2009 after the Old Lady paid Werder Bremen €24.5m for his signature.

After Juve finished the campaign in a lowly seventh place, Diego was one of numerous players shipped out by new director general Beppe Marotta last August.

Diego was also linked with Lazio earlier this summer, but it seems as if Fiorentina could be a possible destination.

The Viola, who recently allowed Adrian Mutu to join Cesena, are apparently ready to offer €10m for his services.

Wages could be a problem though as the South American was on €3.5m a season in Turin, whilst Viola top earners Sebastien Frey and Alberto Gilardino net €2m a campaign.

As reported by AS, Djair Ribas Da Cunha, father and agent of Wolfsburg midfielder Diego, has declared: "We are hoping that Wolfsburg and Atletico de Madrid will fine an agreement. He really wants to sign for the Spanish club".
