He never said Diego WAS on the market. He said if serious offers came in, he'd evaluate them like he would for any other player.

Obviously to the retards on here, this means that Diego is up for sale at half price and we're treating him like dirt.

Bayern don’t need Diego
Monday 26 July, 2010
Bayern Munich have told Juventus that they are not interested in signing Brazilian playmaker Diego this summer.

Juventus are encouraging offers for the 25-year-old just a year after his high profile transfer from Werder Bremen because he doesn’t fit in with Gigi Del Neri’s plans for the side.

Bayern were in competition with Juve for Diego’s signature this time last year and were apparently sounded out to see whether they are still interested.

Speaking to Bild, Bayern director Christian Nerlinger said: “Every day agents call me saying that they have something special for us.

Juve’s Diego has already been offered to us by eight different agents and everyone thinks that we must consider ourselves lucky.

“But we already have players for that position. There is Thomas Mueller and Toni Kroos.

“There’s no need for us to move in this sense.

“I have seen only two players who impressed me at the World Cup: one was Maicon and the other was Philip Lahm who plays for us and will continue to do so. Then we have Diego Contento.”

It won't be Diego's agents.

It'll have been freelance ones that Juve would have hired to try to set up a deal.

If you believe the story.

Kroos does have a bright future. I see him fitting in behind the strikers at Bayern while Muller takes the SS position.

So yeah, they don't need Diego to "stifle their growth."

The German Newspaper "Bild" published a news that midfielder Diego, was offered to to Bayern Munich by at least eight differen agents. Diego once more clarifies that only his father is taking care of Diego´s career, as he is the agent and no one else. Djair Ribas, the father, is hence the only one who can or could offer the athlete to another club.

"Everyone knows that only my father is responsable for my career. If other persons pretenting to be working for me, this is not true. Besides that, I am happy at Juventus, and I want to stay here"
said Diego. Before Diego made his move to Juventus, there had been negotiations going on with Bayern Munich, but without any result.

"I do not understand why Bayern-manager Nerlinger says something like that. They had already negotiated with my father in 2009, so they should have known better."

Diego, who played and won a friendly last Saturday, comments also on the situation of the team in the preseason. "We are getting stronger every day, and hopefully, we will be able to play a great season. We want to fight for the championship. I will stay at the club, and I will not let any statement from outside the field interfere my football. My focus is on Juventus, I am happy here, and I have no doubt that I can bring a lot of joy to the fans" added Diego.
