Not many players played well this season.

:edit: yourre right, he did produce more than our other mids. But did not justify his price tag.

I agree on the price thing, but hardly any player does justify the pricetag slammed on him, especially when playing in a very very poorly organized team. No player could've made a difference on his own, in a team with this many weaknesses.

I hope we finally spend our money wisely come summer so we have a good team with a game plan. I think Diego will come good for us.

He's the least of my worries.

We have players like Grygera, Zebina, De Ceglie, Grosso, Tiago, Molinaro , and members here are expecting Diego to lift the team and play for 2 guys because one of those mentioned was totally out of the game.

Diego was the guy that was working hard , providing some assists, even getting back and playing defensively , keeping the ball when needed, and I clearly can't see why is he the one to be blamed. Maybe the expectations were pretty much high but the overall expectations were unreal (we know that now) and almost every member was expecting scudetto at the end of this season.

When you consider how inflated prices of players are I think we did well in getting him. He did not have that bad of a season and next season if the team does not struggle as much I am sure he will shine and become a star for us.

He is one of the only reasons we can be hopeful of our future, along with Chiellini and Marchisio... and Giovinco if he stays.

Ok, fine ladies. You caught me in a pissy mood then. Thank Ken der Dutchman for that at the Caceres thread.

You all have a point on Diego and I just wanted to bitch like a girl. But there are two sides to every coin, except Giovonatti's because football is only played with 10 men. Thank you Curr for pointing that out.
