Giaccherini is a winger and he cost 3m.
we bought him for 6mil, we have committed 6mil for his acquisition.
If we keep him, we will not recover not even a penny of this 6mil.
If/when he fails, which is extremely likely to happen, but not certain, we will only pay this 6mil, if he somehow does well, they have the right to buy back half of his contract and force us to pay even more to get back half of his contract to keep him, so we might end up paying more, (3mil and more than 3mil for the 50% of the half they bought back) but 6mil, is the least we will pay.

:gsol: Conte does not want him :gsol:
I think this Conte doesn't want him stuff is a bunch of BS, he doesn't want Lugano, didn't want Vargas, even Alex so who does he want?? I think its the fact that Marotti is just incompetent and can't close deals for key players thats why we end up getting the left overs. I m surprised he was actually able to get Vidal, that in itself seems like a small miracle at this point! Get ready for another disaster of a season. Sit back and enjoy!

This is a waste of money and a waste of time. We need to concentrate and get players that will make a difference NOW! We need or LW and central defender... time is running out!

As it stands, Juve have paid 3m.

Juve bought him for 6m, then immediately sold half back to Cesena for 3m.

you are wrong, we paid 6mil, they are not committed to give us back the 3mil, if they dont opt to, they just have the right to do so.

The deal means Juventus have bought the player's full rights for €6m, but they have agreed to sell half of those rights back to Cesena for €3m if they wish at a later date
We committed the 6mil for his acquisition, they will give us 3mil, IF they want to buy back his half, and then our 3mil will only mean 50% of his contract.
But they will only buy back half of his contract, if they have an interest to do it, that means, if he does well, so then, they can force us to buy his 50%, they have the option to buy back, with more money.

Its like an investment. They get the 6mil anyways and if the player does well, they will get the 50% of his new improved value.
They are not obliged to buy the 50% if he fails and then we will only lose the full 6mil and any more.
Hope that clarifies it in your mind.

And to further explain it.
His current transfer value is 6 cents, erm.. six million euros
If he fails, they will not buy back his 50% for 3mil, so we will end up paying 6mil
But if he somehow overperforms, Pepe, Quaq and Vucinic, his transfer market value will increase, to lets say 12mil.
Then they will buy his 50% with 3 mil, that actually worths 6mil (which is 50% of the 12mil)
and then, if we want to keep him and buy back his 50%, we need to pay 6mil, apart from the 3mil we already paid (6mil-3mil for the option to buy back his 50%) meaning a total loss of 9mil.
The minimum we will lose is 6mil, the maximum we will lose, is not yet known.

Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces the agreement with A.C. Cesena S.p.A. for the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Emanuele Giaccherini for a consideration of € 6 million to be paid in 3 years. At the same time, Juventus and Cesena signed a player sharing agreement (ex art. 102 bis N.O.I.F.) related to the same player for a consideration of € 3 million to be paid by Cesena in 3 years.

This is more reliable source than goal.com

Juventus have completed the transfer of Emanuele Giaccherini by paying Cesena €6 million for him, but the Emilia Romagna-based side have conserved a buy-back agreement for the future.

Giaccherini, 26, arrived in Turin to undergo his medical with the club, and after passing it he signed a contract with Antonio Conte's side.

A statement on the club's official website reads:

"Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces the agreement with A.C. Cesena S.p.A. for the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Emanuele Giaccherini for a consideration of €6 million to be paid in 3 years.

"At the same time, Juventus and Cesena signed a player sharing agreement (ex art. 102 bis N.O.I.F.) related to the same player for a consideration of €3 million to be paid by Cesena in 3 years."

Speaking of the move, the player told reporters "I will give everything for this shirt."

The deal means Juventus have bought the player's full rights for €6m, but they have agreed to sell half of those rights back to Cesena for €3m if they wish at a later date.

He is the latest player to arrive at Vinovo, but could soon be joined by Le Mans and Paraguay midfielder Marcelo Estigabarria - who is in Turin for a medical.

Since when goal.com is reliable?
since when your interpretation on the sporting rules is more reliable?

Even the juventus.com claims its a 6mil acquisition, 3mil are only good enough for 50% at any case, thats crystal clear there too.
To keep 100% of the player, we need at least 6mil

All sources agree that 3mil are only enough for 50% of his contract.
All sources agree that we have accepted the Cessena has the right to buy 50% of his contract, by giving us back 3mil of the 6mil we gave at them.
All sources agree that we have allocated 6mil for his acquisition, the same amount needed to buy Lugano or Alex, or maybe a decent actual LW.

It remains to be seen if they will buy his 50% and how much more we are going to give them next year, in order to keep the full 100% of his contract...

It doesnt say they have an option, it says that they have registered a player sharing agreement for 3 million €. No option. If it goes to a blind auction we might get him for 1 mil, or we might sell him for 5 mil to them... nothing is as certain as you make it.
