This guy for 3m and Coates for 2.5. We could be looking at the best central pair of the Copa for 5.5m. There is no way Marrotta will make it happen.

Coates-Chiellini-Lugano-Bonucci-Sorenson

I'd sell Barzagli for 3m. And let Coates ply understudy to Lugano, before grooming him to take over in a couple of years. That lineup would be stellar, even by Champions league standards. But then again, Marrotta is scared of talent, especially when its not Italian.

I'd definitely like Lugano here. But he's not the ideal player to place next to Chiellini. They will form a very tough partnership, though. It's just that I'd rather have a finesse ball-playing CB back there, as in someone like Marquez.

But then again, when we had Ferrara and Montero back there, those two were brutes and we still did very well. Organization is the most important facet of defending anyway.
Less need for ball-playing CBs when Pirlo is in the team, since he'll go very deep to get the ball and dictate the play.

Should mask the CBs' passing ability, or lack thereof, rather more than when Juve had someone like Sissoko playing in front of them.

According to wiki he's only just joined Sao Paolo and his contract runs out on August 1 :boh:
:D

that's regarding his contract with Atlético Paranaense, his former team.

I wonder if Marotta just recently heard of Sao Paolo for the first time - he wants a player who just joined them but never attempted to get Miranda when he was a free agent (now off to Atl Mad) :p

How about we drop the "CB who can pass" until you guys see Vidal and Pirlo in action :D ?

Last year he wanted Roma to give him 3 million annual salary and they declined. I don't see 3 million being a problem with us.

His buyout clause is 3.5 and Fener are willing to sell. They were okay with selling him for that price last year for Roma.

95% of the forum said he sucks and how they don't want him here.
95% of the forum generally dont watch players they say the above about either (except for handful of games), base it mainly on reputation/hype alone. I see MANY admit they havent seen this or that player, but still have strong and final opinions of them (plus one is either great or sucks/is terrible, and since only few are great...).

The one who says Lugano sucks is Turk Bianconero. Now....

1. Turk watched Lugano much more than any of us have. After all, Lugano plays for Fenerbahce and Turk lives in Istanbul and from what I noticed, he does follow the Turkish league.

2. Turk hates Fener like he hates Inter.

Tough shit here. I'm not sure how to take Turk's words about Lugano :D

Here is my justification, will we sign a better option then him? (preferred one being hummels) NO, then get him. Rather see him then Barzagli, and fill in for Bonnucci when he is mistackling too much in games (still dont wanna give up on him, like many are).
