Well, I have lived and witnessed every moment of this club for the past years and that's how things are at the moment. If the player himself does not want us, we will not sign him for two reasons:

1- Players arrive at our price
2- We will not go into bidding wars.

Do you think we could have got Vidal had Leverkusen let Bayern make a bid?
its obvious that if a player doesn't want us, he wont come to us...thats enough of a reason not to sign him. your points 1 and 2 are of no consequence is a player doesnt want to sign for us. strange post:beer: Kinda like saying if a man is black we can't make him white...

As for lugano, i will be over the fucking moon if we get him. I have been banging on for a few years now about our lack of tough guys, berserker spirited warriors, natural leaders...and Lugano??? he has all of that, and more.

Its like tachinardi said a while ago...'we used to be feared and hated...and now???'...

I didn't understand a word but I will tell you one thing, it was a really cool story and a good director of sport makes a player want to come.

What you are basing that upon I have no idea...but when it comes to top players, they decide where they go, not their clubs or minders. At worst, they are persuaded that they should go earn the highest wages available for a year or two, then their agent will engineer a move to their dream club...still, it comes down to the player.

Tevez is an interesting example. as for me, although he loves football, and is world class, its the $$$ that he follows, not any aim to go down as one of the greatest players in history, or to be part of one of the greatest teams of history. Maybe good ol Kim directs him, but its Tevez who has to agree or disagree nonetheless...

A player like aguero...He has decided to go to city for the $, for the champions league and to be part of a much stronger team than we could offer. he is too good, and too highly coveted to be a slave to his agent.

As far as I have seen over the last 20 years of following football, its much more rare to see a player sent to a club he doesn't want, than sent to a club he does want...when we are talking about decent to top players. Baggio? Weah? Shearer?Rooney? Ronaldo? Beckham? Ibra? Cantona? Van Basten? Gullit? Rijkaard? Buffon? Krasic? Vidal? im not sure which league you kids follow, but i doubt its the italian or english leagues.

'a good director of sport makes a player want to come'??? again JCK, you seem to be stating the blatantly obvious.

a player who doesnt want to come, wont come...astounding! absolutely astrounding.
your next rabbit out the hat is...suggesting that part of the job of sporting director is to attract the best players to the club. again, thats obvious. When a man's main job is transfers, obviously he needs to be skilled at transfers to be good at his job...

It really is getting a bit tiresome, for anyone to be blaming solely Beppe Marotta for failing to attract players who end up transferring to clubs who can pay them double what we pay them, give them a stronger team to play with, offers them champions league football, and a serious chance at challenging for honours at home and abroad.

Man City are more attractive than us. In everything that matters to the modern player other than history. That is factual, not opinion.
More $, much stronger squad, capable of challenging for domestic honours, champions league.

And there is fuck all Beppe Marotta, or any other SD ca ndo about that.

To many players, turin is a more pleasant place to live, but manchester has a heartbeat, you can feel the vitality there, regardless of its dark underbelly...

Players words don't count ? Yes they fucking do, that's why the have agents to represent their views and decisions. It takes two to sign a contract, the club and the player. THE PLAYER.

Many players refuse to sign a contract extension, refuse to go to clubs. It's not a fucking zoo.
