Di vaio is a very good player......but replacing DP........impossible. I dont believe how people turn against a player that fast. DP was great this season before the injury and now everyone is against him. Even if Di vaio is playing well DP had been playing well for the last 3 years. He was the club's top scorer last season.

Please guys show some respect to our captain and support him....... Its really sad guys really sad.

Forza Del Piero.

and if someone will replace our captain it will be one of the rising youngsters, not a 26 years old who we bought last year and is just begening to preform well.

:down::down:

Oh, I'm only kidding.

I'm not the biggest Trez fan, though.

But I don't want to see Juve sell him and sign somebody else for an incredible amount of money when the defense is the area that requires the most attention.

Goal scoring is not the team's problem. Conceding goals is.

Mutu has declared last week that Juve have made a big mistake not to sign him when they had the chance.

Goat and DJ - Since DP got the new contract it's highly unlikely that he will be sold now.

and why the hell del piero should be replaced. everyone was so glad that this year juve has incredible squad depth and now you want to weaken the team? that's just irrational.
why DP should be replaced? simple reason..

1. He's one of the highest paid players not in Juve, but in the world. Selling him and getting somebody lesser known (but with equally and possibly more talent) would save us alot of money..and actually get us some money for other areas of the club. Plus getting him off our paylist would further reduce the risk of becoming an Arsenal (run out of money because of the stadium plans) since we also have stadium plans of our own.

2. Juve has done EXCEPTIONALLY when DP was out this season, and there's no reason to change something that's not broken, thus DP shouldnt play, thus there's no point paying somebody who isnt playing

3. Alex Ferguson is a admirer of DP(for some reason, oh well, he IS a nut..). Selling DP to Manutd, yes Man.Utd could be a masterstroke idea. With Manutd doing so well financially, they can afford DP, plus we could use the opportunity to get Ruud ourselves.

4. Once Dp leaves, we could invest more on young players like a new DP in the making, using the money we could get from selling DP.

lemme see what else.

If you say that this season the squad has great depth, selling DP, IMHO would only make the depth in our squad more greater. As i said, with the money we get from selling DP, we could get other somebody like Rosicky or Aimar, or van der vaart. the options are limitless really.

As for the general fans who refer to Juve with Del Piero, i dont really see the real problem here. Nedved has more than outshined DP, and Miccoli and Di Viao(not based on this season's performance, but from Parma's too) are capable of doing so. Plus an addition of a (lesser known) charismatic star i think Juve fans wont miss DP for that long.

peace :)

Wasn't everybody raving about Juve's depth even when DP got injured??

I don't think the depth will be affected at all. It just gives players such as Miccoli and Di Vaio more minutes, which they should be getting in the first place.

Remember, Miccoli has stated that he WILL leave if he doesn't get minutes. I don't want to see Juve lose a player like that. But if a team is willing to pay a boatload of money for him, let him go while they can still get something for him.

OMG! Again a " kick out our best Players" thread! :wallbang: I'm bored with you guys! You see a player be in fantastic form, like Di Vaio now and you start to say, that we don't need Alex and/or Trez anymore! :fero: I just remember again and again, how most of you guys wanted to see Di Vaio leaving during the summer, and now you are the happiest, that he is still here, aren't you? I think also Del Piero and Trez have their places in the team, we need both of them, not just Di Vaio. Just imagine what would happen, if Marco got injured and there weren't Trez or Alex in the team! You all would crying them back, for sure! :groan:

I'd say it should be opposite. If Miccoli needs minutes, then Sell Del Piero. He will be worth more money, and we'll have Miccoli a lot longer.

I'm sorry.

That's what I meant.

Sell Del Piero to give Miccoli more minutes.

It's pretty tough to get your point across exactly as you intended when you're typing this at work and people are walking by.

sell del piero, play miccoli and juve will end up like roma last year

If Juve weren't scoring goals at such a blistering pace, then I would tend to agree with you. But this would be the perfect time to make such a move.

Think about it.

Buffon- arguably the best at his position

Zambo- arguably now one of the best at his position

Nedved- arguably one of the best at his position

Del Piero- arguably...........................................are we so sure now??

Strike while the iron is still hot. Juve doesn't exactly have a bunch of Cassano's and De Rossi's coming up in the junior ranks right now, so they need to try to sell one of their most marketable assets.
