Trio in Di Natale chase Wednesday 11 October, 2006
Juventus, Milan and Roma are all reportedly interested in signing in-form Udinese attacker Antonio Di Natale.
The Italian international, who may start in tonight’s European Championship qualifier against Georgia, is likely to be a wanted man in January.
Although Udinese don’t intend on losing the player until the end of the season, a tempting offer could change their minds.
Considering that Udinese spent £3m on signing the 29-year-old striker from Empoli a few years ago, the Pozzo family who own the club may sacrifice him for £6m.
Juventus are thinking about an alternative to Alex Del Piero and could decide to offer £5m plus Under-21 international Raffaele Palladino.
Milan, who are having a striker crisis despite the arrival of Ricardo Oliveira, may look to refresh their options in the New Year. A cash plus Marco Borriello bid has been suggested.
However, it is understood that Roma may in fact be in pole position to land the second striker who can also play on the flanks.
Giallorossi boss Luciano Spalletti knows him well after their time together in Udine and he could play a key role in the player’s future.
