Chievo boss Domenico Di Carlo has called on his side to produce the “perfect performance” in Saturday’s clash with Juventus.
The 48-year-old appreciates the size of the task as the Gialloblu become the next team to try and halt the Bianconeri’s extraordinary 42-game unbeaten run.
Speaking from a pre-match press conference, Di Carlo said: “On paper Juventus are the stronger outfit, they’re going great guns in the championship and face us on the back of an extraordinary performance in the Champions League.
“We’ll require a perfect performance to stand any chance of getting a result. But I believe we can do it as we’ve shown we possess the required qualities.”
If the visitors are to spring a surprise at Juventus Stadium, De Carlo insists they will have to eradicate the errors that contributed to last Sunday’s 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Lazio.
“We can’t commit the type of errors we made against Lazio, which came about through lack of concentration. Lazio knew how to capitalise on our slight mistakes, we can’t even afford to make those against Juventus.
“We’ll need to put in the hard yards and plenty of sacrifice - but also show the will to attack. We’ll also require a little slice of luck to get a result, something that’s been lacking in recent times.”
