Depeche Commode? Man, it's been years since I've had to ridicule those guys. :p

Nah, I'm into electronic music. But more of the lameass lounge stuff (trip hop, etc.) at the end of the last decade.

I used to dislike them but now I admire them.

But same as swag, I'm a fan of ethnic, trip hop, electronic samba lounge beats.

They are ok, but kind of mediocre as far as the world of ethnic, trip hop, and electronic samba lounge beats goes.

Personal Jesus was a good jam, but I hardly listen to the Depeche Mode version since Johnny Cash covered it.

From wikipedia

Depeche Mode are an electronic band, who formed in 1980 in Basildon, Essex, England. The group's original lineup consisted of David Gahan (lead vocals), Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, vocals, chief songwriter after 1981), Andrew Fletcher (keyboards) and Vince Clarke (keyboards, chief songwriter 1980–81). Vince Clarke left the band after the release of their 1981 debut album; soon replaced by Alan Wilder (lead keyboards) who played with the band from 1982 to 1995. Following Wilder's departure, Gahan, Gore, and Fletcher have continued to perform as a trio.

Depeche Mode are one of the longest-lived and most successful bands to have emerged from the New Romantic and New Wave era.
No rock here, nor post punk nor punk rock.

I never really got into them, I like a few songs that were hits in their days but that's pretty much it. Of electronic music I really only enjoy some good trip-hop, chill out. It's great for getting laid. :D

I called their genre Electro Rock because thats what the Emirates Flight had them classfied under:D.I think they do have elements of rock here and here, but ive never been able to totally understand what Electro Rock is.That said,If Daft Punk can be called Electro Rock, then i think so can Depeche Mode in a few ways. But they'd always be associated more with Synthpop or Gothicpop more than any other genre IMO.
