Traore was a punt at the end of the transfer window, cost us fuck all, and was truly a hit and hope effort...Completely different to identifying a problem position, making a list of targets to solve the problem, honing it down to pecking order mix of availability and talent.
Last ten years...Not sure how many krauts have come into Serie A. Not many I assume, but their league has been growing in strength, as serie A has been weakening. before then, in the wonderful 90s, when we were always brilliant, we had Moller and Kohler, who were both magnificent. Still...the germs don't seem to keen on italian football.
I seem happier than most with Chiellini at left back, allowing Bonucci to develop alongside barzagli. Yes, we need a LB, and to get rid of de ceglie I reckon, who has had more than enough chances. Also, cleary a RB, a serious apprentice/challenger to Lichsteiner.

I am aware of that unfortunately beaked nazi version of inzaghi at Lazio...and was trying to think more of Germs who have come to serie A and done well. There must surely be some more??? I remember Vierchowod, who seemed german, but was from perhaps...russia?

which I was watching with my spanish mate, Chimpy...laughing as Tassoti walked away...shaking my head in disgust at what I referred to at the time as 'typical fkin faking cheating spanish swine...get up pansy and get on with the game..'. I have despised Enrique ever since, and will be happy if he fails terribly at Roma.

that was my point, alc...he had mocked me for years about the Iti diving scum...and it felt great to turn the tables, in sucn horrible circumstances. he didn't even get a red in that game, if i recall rightly...but then got hit with a 7 match ban after, which pretty much ended his career. they should have banned enrique also.
ok first of all nowadays lahm is always first choice LB. he isn´t playing on the right anymore. not at bayern, not at the national team. i wish he would but it seems like a final decission.
furthermore aogo got his 180 minutes against the ukraine and the netherlands. lahm wasn´t in the squad for both of these games as he was rested. schmelzer was out injured against the netherlands and not fully fit against the ukraine + löw tested a new formation there which suited aogo better and went horribly wrong...
so i would say those two games don´t really justify to call aogo germany´s first choice leftback (when lahm is out). of course if "at this current time" refers to a single game you might be right ^^

I WASN'T trying to say he starts instead of Lahm when Lahm is fully fit.
My point was simply that he must be ONE of germanys top left backs if he is constantly in and around the first team.
