Well, Del Piero has got the best ball control in the world, but he doesn't seem fit and sharp enough anymore. In 1998 he had this "Kill! Kill!"- attitude, which is gone now. IMO the best player in the world at the moment is Thierry Henry. I don't think you can even compare Del Piero with him.

Henry is far better than Del Piero is atm and to expect Ale to become the best player in the world just like that is wishful thinking. All I'm asking of ADP is 15+ goals in Serie A and more consistency than he showed last season.

Nobody said that he will be the best player in the world...what Moggi said and i think is very possible that is that he expects Delpiero to have is best season at Juve...The problem here is that seven implies the concept than, at a given moment, he was the best player in the world (a very respectable opinion, but still a subjective one, as he hasnt received any golden ball or FIFA award to sustain this).

meaning, i will not have problems if DP is not the best player in the world this season. If he has his best season ever, it will be enough for me....

He didn't say the exact words, but he did say it indirectly because if Del Piero was to have his best season ever he would be the best in the world. In 1998 he was right up there with Ronaldo, so if he bettered that he would be the best IMO.
