Hi everyone, since I'm broke and I need to buy a new pair of boots - I decided after thinking about it LONG and HARD that I would finally list my beloved match-supplied Juventus shirt on eBay.
It's a match spare from the Milan-Juve game on 22nd March 2003 and is absolutely stunning. You have to see it for yourselves and who knows, maybe place a bid! Thanks.

A friend of mine collects all kinds of match worn and match spare shirts, his collection consists mostly of Premiership clubs and the major European teams with a few Internationals thrown in the mix.
At the end of last season he obtained a match spare from the last game of the season, I forget was it against Perugia? Well anyway, that held significant value as it was the game in which Juve celebrated the 27th Scudetto.
At the end of this summer past, an Italian collector friend of his swapped him a match worn Owen England shirt for several Premiership club match worns he wanted to offload - his friend gave him the match spare from the Milan game as a token of his appreciation in doing that deal.
Here's where I come in...I'd been doing some basic defragging and virus scanning on his 3 computers at home and even got rid of that dodgy blaster worm virus that was popular at that time. So in return, him knowing I was Juventino - he repaid me with the shirt. *deep breath*
Phew...anyway, if any of you are interested in it - I can take any requested pictures you may have intrigue in and will post to anywhere in Europe. It really is an awesome shirt.

how do they all those shirts?
I'm presuming you're asking how they get them..
Well, some players shirts like Ronaldo, Beckham and Owen are absolute gold to get hold of as even the spares are snapped up by relatives or the play himself for the memory - most times, if the match is unforgettable and ends in a significant win for the team; the player will keep the shirt, but if the match is something they'd rather forget, like last year's Champions League final for example, you'll see plenty of Juve match worns from that game floating about on eBay etc.
The people who get hold of the shirts are sometimes relatives making a living out of their relation's career by selling on memorabilia; or in most cases interns from the club making a bit more cash on the side.
These are past from collector to collector and the eventual permanent owner falls to regular fans like you and me just wanting the shirt as a prestigious possession.

somehow i feel that most of those match worns on ebay are fake.

The shirts you see on eBay, more often than not are legitamite.
They have match specifications that make them stand out from the common replica, for example - last season's Serie A Juventus shirt has smaller Lotto emblems on the sleeve and the absence of the replica patch in the bottom right of the jersey.
Of course there are ways to distinguish every shirt, the things you need to keep an eye out for are the handstitched club logos and superb quality of the sponsor and as they are included on nearly every match shirt going, the quality of the name and numbering. The Del Piero print on mine is made of a plastic felt which you cannot find on replica versions, that's a certainty.
Most traders on eBay who sell the shirts specialise in this and have a website or online gallery of some kind to display this, that's why I am at a disadvantage - however, I'm looking to balance this by offering to take pictures of whatever section of the shirt they please. This may in effect, put to rest any false doubts they may have.
