Interesting loan, I’m not against it. Extending him plus the 700k really isn’t bad, but it’s about him much he’ll play of course. Maybe it’s a gamble compared to Frosinone, but seeing the quality of Llorente and their current problems with their other CBs the odds might be in our favour.

Besides that the opportunity of playing a team that wants to compete for the EL and the Coppa, a way more challenging place for a young player might boost his development for the coming months. Hopefully he returns home with at least 10 to 15 games played.

Overall I’ve been hoping for some time that when our reputation with NextGen grows that we’ll be able to loan players to clubs who play Conference League or Europa League.

Roma currently have two CBs available Llorente and Mancin. Kumbulla and Smalling have long injuries and Ndicka goes to the African cup, they are also limited by the FFP rules and basically cant spend anything. Its a big chance for Huijsen and i understand why he is pushing for it. Its still only a dry loan and we keep all the rights to the player then its good, but lets wait for official annoucment

Thanks for this post, this explains well why Roma were insisting on him, free and in big need for a CB. Wasnt aware of their issues so was confused how they can offer as much opportunity as Frosinone, which they kinda have to for this kid to change his mind and choose them.

Its 500k if he plays 10+ matches

I think it’s a smart deal tbh, a short term dry loan should do him good, i too perhaps would have preferred to avoid risking him at Roma but if he manages to find minutes there and stays fit we will have a better and much more mature player to add for next season.

thank you, i wasnt aware of their injury issues. If he actually plays and there's no buy option then I am for it
