Dead bird phenomena hits Italy
The 'dead birds falling from the sky phenomena’ has now reached Italy. On Wednesday thousands of turtle doves fell from the sky. Countless numbers of the beautiful birds were found scattered in streets, yards and hanging from trees. Many of the birds were discovered to have a mysterious blue stain on their beaks
Mass bird and fish deaths have been reported across the globe. In Maryland over 2 million spot fish washed ashore and in New England 40,000 crabs washed up dead on England beaches.
Scientists are claiming theses incidents are not related and that cold weather and individual events are responsible for the tragic deaths.
An expert in England stated that the blue stain on the dove’s beak could easily be the result of poisoning or signs of hypoxia. The doves have been sent for testing. As we wait for autopsy results all we can do is wonder what species will be hit next?
