For me there isn't that clear a line between capitalism and communism, its not like they're opposites like communism and socialism are (if I'm getting my political ideologies right). But all the same, good luck with that. :biggrin:

To me, pure communism and pure capitalism are the same thing, but in different ways. As long as rational thought and human decency prevail, I'm down.

Surely you don't think that I mean Leninism? Besides, communism is not a system, it's the natural evolution of the human society. Look into the hegelian dialective.

De Jong has signed with Hamburg... time to close the thread


Hamburg win race for De Jong


Hamburg have won the race to sign Ajax midfielder Nigel de Jong.

Reports suggest the Dutch side have received a fee in the region of €1 million (£680,000) for the player whose contract was due to expire in six months' time.

Tottenham had been keen on securing de Jong on a pre-contract agreement but Hamburg have clinched the deal with the player signing a four-and-a-half year contract.

De Jong will join fellow Dutch internationals Khalid Boulahrouz and Rafael van der Vaart at Hamburg as the Bundesliga outfit seek to cement their title challenge.

De Jong made his international debut in March 2004 and has gone on to win nine further caps.

It's not that surprising, given what Nigel said about the team he's looking for. At Hamburg he'll get playing time and he'll be a star. Besides, wouldn't you want to play for a team like Hamburg who are on the way up?
