Both sides have begun the season in resounding fashion and go into the encounter level on 19 points at the summit of Serie A.
And while the Aosta-born defender knows Walter Mazzarri’s men will pose a stiff test to the Bianconeri’s unbeaten run, he is confident that Juventus Stadium will again be the team’s ‘twelfth man’ and roar the hosts on to success.
Speaking exclusively to Sky, De Ceglie said: “Both sides have strengthened and Saturday’s game will be even better. We’re aware of our potential and we just have to express it on the pitch. We’ll be playing at Juventus Stadium and our fans will support us and give us that little bit extra.”
While the entire nation discusses the meeting of this year’s most fancied Serie A title challengers, De Ceglie reminded supporters of the team’s desire to also prove themselves on the European stage.
“We want to follow up our Scudetto achievement from last year. But we also have a great desire to show what we can do in the Champions League. It’s an important season and we want to do well.”
The club’s work in the summer transfer market saw the left flank bolstered with the arrival of Kwadwo Asamoah from Udinese. A move that De Ceglie believes can only be beneficial for the team as a whole.
“There’s always a lot of competition at Juventus, which is good and only right. Healthy competition can only ever be a positive thing. It’s something that pushes you to do more and perform even better,” he concluded.
