Roma to lose Davids? Tuesday 21 October, 2003

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Roma’s well publicised financial problems may see them lose out on the summer signing of Edgar Davids.

The Juventus player has been heavily linked with a switch to the Giallorossi at the end of the season but that is now in doubt.

The Dutchman will be available on a free transfer in June and the capital club had openly admitted that he was an objective.

But with reports suggesting that the club may have to sell in a bid to cut their debts, Davids may end up elsewhere.

Reports in Italy on Tuesday suggest that Inter are already making enquiries with the former Ajax star’s representatives.

The Nerazzurri have been in contact with agent Robert Geerlings to clarify the midfielder’s current situation.

New Inter boss Alberto Zaccheroni is a big fan of the international and President Massimo Moratti is willing to bring in the player.

There are also unconfirmed rumours which suggest that Davids has recently bought a house in the Milan area.

it is of no concern anymore...its not like we are getting cash for him.

if he wants roma, inter, chelsea, real madrid or even barca, he can go. he doesnt want juve anymore and appiah and maresca are both going to be stars for us.

never liked him anyway...

he has cost Juve sooo many games.

I just hope he goes to some club where he will win nothing. We don't need him to face us and come back to haunt us.

no, he has been great for us for many seasons. we all should respect him for the chmapion he is has been for us.

whats happening now is unfortunate, but at the same time, we have to move on and let him do what he likes.
