The show went from Stranger Things style to Lost style.

And watched almost every episode in season 2 all night
Never really got the Stranger Things comparisons. Stranger Things is more of a homage to the 80s Spielberg style. There’s a small dash of it I suppose, but not much at all.

Dark has always had more of a Twin Peaks feel. Or like you say, Lost.

Anyways. Fantastic season. But just like the first, I hated the very last scene. I think they’re doing it on purpose lol. The start of this season entirely redeemed that stupid last scene of season 1, so I can only hope season 3 does the same with this one.

There’s definitely a TP vibe too, but don’t dismiss the influence from Stranger Things. First season definitely got ST elements in it. But this show is much more hardcore dystopian fatalism.

The only Stranger Things element is that it happened to kids and the dark theme that is prevalent. Can't even deem the time travel as supernatural as it's more science fiction than anything else. Everything else is completely different.

Not a fan of the finale (not great, not terrible), but flawless season otherwise.

Yeah can't wait for third season... can't believe I have to wait a full year! I will probably re-watch it some time when I have nothing to watch. At least before S3 because there's just so much to keep track of.

Seriously just how good is the second season? I finished the 4th episode and my jaw is dropped.
:agree:

It’s fucking amazing.

Only downside was the very last scene again, I hated, just like the first season lol.

But I loved how they started this season after that, and how they developed future Winden, without allowing it to take over the show. It was perfect. So I have faith next season will redeem the last scene of this one too.

Finished season 2 :delpiero: I absolutely loved the whole season, @Post Ironic I'm not sure what is it you didn't like about the ending. Was it the pacing again?

Adam being Jonas was the turning point. As soons as he said that time travelling takes its toll on the human body, I knew he was Jonas.

While watching, I'm doubting constantly who's the evil between Claudia and Adam. One moment I think it's Claudia (white devil) then Adam, then I think Adam is good then Claudia, rinse and repeat. The evil character might even only and simply be Noah.

I also got spoiled that Charlotte was the daughter of her own daughter (Elizabeth). I was reading comments on a discussion about episode 4 and someone brought that theory out the blue while there was zero evidence and without backing it. He probably watched the finale and then wanted to look good. Cunt. Don't know if that's the reason why I found the reveal a bit lame however.

Surely the show is going to end after season 3? Hope not, but I don't know with what else they could develop it further than with the Multiverse.

Regardless this show might be my favourite one at the moment, the wait for season 3 is going to be long.
