Can't expect players to show us loyalty if we elbow out our club captain like this before he's even properly finished tbh
We have been very poor in this aspect for a while now. Ever since the Del piero fiasco. Can't really blame the players for being "mercenaries" when we ourselves show that it's strictly bussiness and there's no sentiment when we're dealing with them. It has to go both ways. In any case ofcourse its all grey areas and no case is simple but i'd hoped we would deal with the situations more gracefully.

Even cunts like Bonucci had his farewell substitution in front of the fans then tried to stay and see out his contract. It does go both ways, there needs to be mutual understanding behind the scenes before any announcement is made and then important players should be honoured before or after their last game and given the substitution thing.

Can't think of anybody we handled well. How was Chiellini's? I don't think I was here.

So sad doing it to Danilo. So if true Motta will not play him not for less quality but voiding an extension is a travesty.
And this fuk got his extra year when more deserving to Danilo who getting less money to boot.
I be smiling too.

Terminate him in January and let him get his last bag somewhere else because its clear by now hes not going to play much. I dont really have sympathy for him (or any player) as long as they were clear with him that he was no longer a starter. They have every right to make that decision, just like any player is free to hand in a transfer request. Its business.

It's a weird situation as he's captain and a good player but he's clearly not going to be the first choice in the system Motta plays. He's not athletic enough for right back or big enough to play DC in the two. But I can see him playing some games and then leaving in the summer as he appears to be very professional and not the sort to cause lots of problems. We'll see I guess.

It is business, but I'd argue that fostering loyalty and creating the conditions for bandieri at the club is better business than a constant merry-go-round of transfers. Completely agree that these things need to be clearly communicated with the players.

Danilo was never going to be a Chiellini-level legend but we should be doing him better than this, or else why name him captain? From Nedved's half-assed guard of honour to Trezeguet being kicked out to AA announcing Del Piero at a board meeting to whatever the hell happened with Chiesa we should be treating our important players better. It is business and they are all spoilt millionaires but our amateurish handling of them is expensive in the long run and tarnishes our brand as a premium club.

but how does this apply to Danilo? Hes been benched because he’s not better than those ahead of him. It’s not personal, and it’s not mistreatment unless they promised him playing time, which I doubt.

Imagine being serious and saying Danilo is not better than gatti. state of Tuz these days

motta and guintoli will change their attitude quick once gatti gets destroyed by any half decent striker. I say starting this week we will see it sooner than later

Deliberately not playing him so that we won't have to pay him the year after is out of order for a club captain to be treated like that imo.

I get it's not personal but I'm saying that perhaps things would be better if we did make it more personal with our key players and certainly our captain.

are they deliberately not playing him though? Bremer and Gatti haven’t missed a game yet and Danilo was never really a fit at FB, not at this stage of his career at least. I guess we’ll find out when Bremer/Gatti sit, but even then I‘d think Kalulu would be first in line.

This will never happen at jj and especially now that we are broke.

Danilo is being asked to reflect on his future at Juventus. The contract ending in June, combined with the low consideration towards him from ThiagoMotta, impose some clear choices, that could lead to a departure as of January.

the way he got frozen out of squad is criminal.

i think it’s pretty clear now that he’s frozen out of squad because of guintoli. I think it’s also clear now chiesa was not the person making demands but it was guintoli. Look at McKennie and how he got integrated when he signed a contract extension.

guintoli fucked juve on the Chiesa deal now Danilo same
