So the guy that would have stayed here for peanuts gets a 3.945M yearly contract that pays 2.132M net per season. Thought it was only going to be 1.5M. Was hopefully optimistic years ago feeling could be 1st teamer but never materialized. Production from last contract didn't nearly equal his pay. That said will be backing him 110%.

He’s a perfectly capable and reliable CB and I’d be more than happy if keep him…but I don’t think he’d work as a CB in Motta’s system. Just look at what Cakafiori did for Bologna under Motta and I just can’t picture Rugani being able to adapt to that

calafiori was partnered with either lucumi or beukema. rugani could do either's job for 15 games per season no problem

I think is made up, however.. I would not be surprised... remember that Juventus renew Rugani's contract before getting Motta, thats what happend when you made this deals before the coach arrives.

Rugani as a 5th choice isn’t bad but with Huijsen, Bremer, Gatti, Calafiori and Danilo I don’t see where he would find any space. Not sure if this is the right decision.
