I think he actually looked quite solid overall despite not being tested much, probably deserves more minutes himself.

Btw, did he go off injured/tired or did Allegri just want to test how Gatti will handle himself protecting the 1:0 lead under pressure after the Sassuolo episode?

He probably didn’t have the legs to play 90 minutes considering the last time he started a game was god knows how long ago.

so he's 29 now and we're only extending him until he's 32 (or 33) because someone's favorite sports director "had the right ideas" and raised his wages twice and gave him a lifetime contract

and it's not about rugani himself, he's a tolerable squad player, all teams need a few of those. his wages though, completely disproportionate to his contribution

Liked him many years ago expecting more but have gotten less especially considering his high salary as a back up. DO NOT resign him no matter how little he takes in salary. If he accepts a lowball salary, only means he has no ambition to want to play. Just likes flying in luxurious jets and staying at upscale hotels.

Injured or not what have we gotten from MDS with that supposedly low salary he accepted? Can’t let these type guys keep screwing us over!

solid as a rotational cb → a run of good games as a starter → brainfart in a key game → be in the doghouse → people forget he's even in the squad → solid as a rotational cb
need more vocals to make it a catchy acronym. SABBPS sounds more like an accreditation for a weapon manufacturer.

Remember when Arsenal wanted to purchase him?
and I was crying not to let him go.

Invisible for large parts and that's a good thing. Had very little to do half of the game when Leao was down the right with Gatti and Bremer was taking care of Giroud. Must have been kinda boring having nothing to do.

I thought he was the best defender last night. Bremer and Gatti had their shaky moments but he was solid all game. We're very lucky to have defender like him on the bench.

taking into account gross wages, he's the 6th best paid CB in the league. he's good enough to be a backup at Juve, but we're definitely not lucky to pay him that salary to be our 4th/5th CB.
