Juventus are not looking for a new centre-back after Merih Demiral’s departure, as Tuttosport reports Max Allegri counts on Daniele Rugani.
Rugani, who spent last season on loan with Stade Rennais and Cagliari, has returned to Continassa ahead of the new season and is in the matchday squad for the game against Barcelona tonight.
The Bianconeri seemed set to make a move for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, who is reportedly heading to West Ham United and Tuttosport believes the idea is now to keep Rugani.
Rugani will be the fourth central defender behind Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Matthijs de Ligt at the Allianz Stadium and Allegri has already assured him of a place in his plans at the Old Lady.
The 27-year-old arrived at Juventus from Empoli in June 2015 and his contract with the Bianconeri expires in June 2023.
Rugani has appeared 101 times for Juventus, contributing seven goals and one assist in the process.
