He was the worst defender for us, didn't have his positioning right at all. That's what prevented him getting a yellow card all this time, he knew where to be on the field. All over the place tonight.

To be honest it's the kind of lesson a young defender needs, because he's not going to be like Barzagli every game aged 22, not one defender was. And Fiorentina are the sort of team where the attacking players shift into all sorts of different positions, it's not like playing a direct opponent for 90 minutes. He'll deal with someone one-on-one all day long.
:agree:

Tough team to play against even their midfielders switch all over the place.

Didn't think he was as bad as some made out but not his best game.

the kid will be a starter next season if beppe dont loan him out with the right to buy.
He wasnt our worst player, as this place is always reserved for Bonucci, yet he was worse than his average performances. yes indeed that was a tough lesson, but refer his attitude of handling things, CBs ought to be tough and i would rather see him dominate an alonso, rather than being doninated from a kalinic like Bonucci.
Fiorentina always have their way to get a penalty from us, ussualy it happens to the men that know how to defend and clear the ball...
I still rate him higher than romagnoli at defending!

He will come out. He is on learning phase, and if we take into account that his prime will be around his 30 years old, lol man is not even funny the class of defender he will be.

Give him time
