Juventus agree option for Piacenza striker Cacia

Juventus have struck terms with Piacenza for striker Daniele Cacia.

Corriere dello Sport says the two clubs have reached terms after the proposal first was raised during negotiations over Antonio Nocerino's return to Juve.

The agreement will see Cacia spend the next six months at Piacenza and become available to Juve during January's winter market. Cacia could still see out the season with Piacenza should Juve management decide a new striker isn't needed.

The 24 year-old forward is currently recovering from a serious knee injury.

FIORENTINA, Huntelaar the no 1 target

ACF Fiorentina Sports Director Pantaleo Corvino could fly to Holland in the next hours to make an attempt for Ajax striker Jan Klaas Huntelaar. The italian club had tracked the player last year too, but after Luca Toni decided to stay one more year in Florence they finally renounced. The dutch striker has been tracked by Juventus some weeks ago but as Trezeguet has decided to remain in Turin, the piemontese club has left the road free for Fiorentina's attempt.

Fiorentina could have a rival in the negotiation for Jan Klas Huntelaar; Villareal, after earning 21 million Euros from Diego Forlan's transfer, could offer to Ajax up to 14 million Euros to engage the young striker.

Fiorentina chief in talks for Ajax's Huntelaar
tribalfooball.com - July 09, 2007

Fiorentina sports director Pantaleo Corvino is expected in Holland today to continue his pursuit of Ajax striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

Corvino is aiming to hold talks with Huntelaar's minders in an effort to convince the Holland international that his future lies in Florence, says Il Firenze.

With Valeri Bojinov stalling on signing a new contract, Corvino must find a quality striker for coach Cesare Prandelli and is turning to Huntelaar after being trumped by Juventus for Piacenza's Daniele Cacia.

Ajax are willing to sell Huntelaar this summer - but only for the right price.
