Covid and Ronaldo fucked us
Honestly, I think signing Cristiano Ronaldo was actually a good move. It showed a kind of ambition we hadn’t seen at Juventus in years. After reaching two UCL finals, bringing in Ronaldo sent a clear message that we were serious about winning it all. It also attracted a huge global following and commercial attention. But unfortunately, his arrival coincided with the Covid pandemic and financial crises, which disrupted the club’s momentum and put a lot of pressure on the team. Also, keeping Allegri after the Cardiff final was a mistake. In my view, the pandemic was the biggest blow to Juve, followed by the Super League fiasco and all that came after.
Overall, I just feel that until Andrea Agnelli returns, this club won’t feel like Juventus again. He had a much better footballing vision, a stronger personality and charisma, a winning mentality, and most importantly he truly cared about the club. John Elkann, on the other hand, lacks all of that. Honestly, if Lapo Elkann were in charge instead of John, I think things would be in a much better place. John's decisions have been nothing short of disastrous.
