Of course I'm serious.
Once in the previous games I swore on my sons that I'm a C. Now, this is also an unfair advantage I got (even though I was lynched by Hoori 10 minutes after I swore on my sons  ).
So, not to make it look picky and make it look like only the Muslims are forbidden to swear to God, I propose to forbid swearing on anything. Be it God, family members or anything else. It goes for every single player.
you really mean this?..

    That's Khalid. (SevenPlusOne)
    Oh.
Yes, Khalid was the name. I didn't even know he changed his nick, I thought he stopped posting. I saw SevenPlusOne but I didn't know it's Khalid.
I have no idea though why did I mix him with Phrozen. Maybe the avatar or something.

Are you serious or are you being sarcastic??

If you're serious i totally agree and think it should be implemented from now on, as an unwritten rule maybe, it shouldn't be allowed. For us muslims swearing to god is a serious thing, and since i now know that JBF swore to god, i am 100% sure that he is a C. Gives an unfair advantage.
Thats true, and I dont see how and why that would influence the game? I mean the opposite could be said too, theres dodgy muslims out there who do it for the fun of it.

I always thought you were an Arab?
Well unsure what I feel, I feel a british thats certain, but a bit of an arab, a bit desi thanks to my surroundings. :D muticultural my Akhi.

Well yes Blondu. It's really an unfair advantage, don't you think?

If I say "I swear on my sons that I'm a civilian" then you will almost surely trust me (unless your name is Hoori :( ) and you'll be convinced I'm a civilian. If Fred says "I swear to Allah that i'm a civilian" all Muslims and all those who know Fred will know that he's telling the truth.
That way we'll completely ruin the game and in one day we'll know about each other's roles.

Of course there are, there are several of them. But thats besides the point, i know its hard to incorporate a rule like that, but i think some kind of non verbal unwritten rule between us would work.

By the way im just curious on this now, can the lawyer save the G, without knowing his a G? Also can the jailor unknowingly put the G in the jail? I mean it would be a shot in the foot if that was the case.
Once I was a lawyer and I saved a G from being lynched. I did it to protect myself from being lynched and convince Sheik to change his vote from me to Cuti (a G), but in any case I did it and I saved a gangster, without knowing that i'm saving a gangster.

Of course, the jailer can also put a G in jail. Hoori did it with Bisco in the previous game. Hoori did it knowingly, but it can easily happen unknowingly.
I jailed Buck last game to avoid being lynched that night, I was already sure he's a G and that night they whacked me and it was obvious afterwards.

I asked him because it was the first day i was just throwing wild accusations around....even though sabsab claims i was getting people to vote for him i changed my vote after he pm'd me...shes just pissy because i voted for her.
NEVER said that. I said you just instantly voted for him with a stupid reason.

Yes, but we know each other here. We're together every single day for years now. I know that JBF, Tahir and Fred are deeply religious and if they swear to God that they are civilians, I will be 100% sure that they are civilians. If all of them say it the moment a game starts, then I and most of the others will know 3 sure civilians.

Yes, oh yes this is true.

I shoud said it in first game last year, but didnt want to remind peeps of the possibility, heh. But this was a problem in XT until one made rule against it :p Not on God persé (no one would trust anyone for that over there :D), but they (few) swore on anything (family members etc), bet on their roles etc to prove themselves after the game. This is over eagerness was 100% done by Civilians and it was totally unfair (considering Civilians have overwhelming advantage to begin).

I see where Alen's coming from if the rule is applied all across rather than just muslims, then I dont see why anyone would object. But you also gotta understand that its in arab nature to keep saying swearing by god (wallahi) every other minute. So its going to be difficult..

    Hoori

I think im getting confused with what hoori said. It wasn't a stupid reason. On the first day the only pepole who have any idea who anyone is are the g's. I had to take a random stab in the dark to try and get a reaction from someone to work out who to vote for. You were just being weird all day yesterday and i still think you are a G. Sorry.

I'm not as deeply religious as you make me out to be, far from that actually :D

But swearing to god is a red line for me.

That is different, that is something that comes out unintentionally as part of your speech, that is actually forgiven, its called la5o i think, but lets not make this a thread about Sharia :D

But swearing to god on the internet is intentional and pre mediated.

That's different. Its called "يمين اللغو " and thus some Sheiks even don't consider it as swearing in the first place.
