Loaded question

The president of the world isn't coming to your house, with a camera team, handing you the 'most moral investor of the world bcs only bought walmart stocks' award, shaking your hand while your mom weeps proudly as the crowd cheers and naked supermodels storm through the doors.

edit: of course as walmart investor you'd support the exploitation and dehumanization of the working class but that's not as bad as techbro's latest nvidia card being unavailable right?
So you would invest in MMM for example if you estimated you were going to be close enough to the top to make money?

I never gave NFTs much attention nor I never needed it to send or receive something so I didn't bother getting one. But maybe I missed something there. :D What are your thoughts and opinions on it?
i don't know if i can count .eth domains as NFT , but i got 2-3 some months ago , and i have one wich is premium , i got it literaly 1min after it expired , i paid 1ETH for it , but it was totally okay , becasue $ENS airdrop paid for it (got alot of tokens becasue i registred it for 10 years)

I thought NFTs were dumb , but friend of mine asked me to get in , so i bought my 1st NFT 6-7 months ago , back than every mint we did it was sure thing we could sell at least double the price we got , for example we minted some curated artblock for 1.4E and it didn't moon next day so my friend decided to sell it for 1.5 (only 0.1E profit lol) , belive me or not after 2-3 days floor was 17ETH (Phase from Artblock) , that kinda fucked us .

So next mint was some other curated art (runners) we minted for 5.5E and we refused 14ETH offers , we wanted to sell for 24E , and slowly NFT bear market started (some months ago) and guess what floor now is around 2E .

But artblock started new projects every day , so that became kinda "boring" why would i pay 30-40k$ for a jpeg wich is produced almost every day , not every curated art will be next "Fidenza"

But what i learned is , you should go for the blue chips , i felt asleep and couldn't mint "MAYC" , my partner minted one , he sold it a week ago for 17E (minus opensea fee) around 69k $ !

Another regret is i couldn't mint "Neo Citizen" S1 , floor is around 24E , it was free mint , becausei gave up on NFTs cause did some terrible decision mentioned above , and on NFT space you need to spend alot of time on discord/twt looking for the hot/right projects , because 99% of them sucks and are money grabbing .

If i would spend my eth , i would only spend right now for blue chips like : Kongz(my favorite , only genesis) , Bayc (It's like having rolex lol) , Punks ,and maybe Neo Citizen .

I also tried Solana NFTs , and i have to say , gas there is super cheap and really fast ,.

I tried to mint Degen Ape Acadamy (for me best project on solana) but couldn't mint for 6SOL , price then went like 15SOL and was mad i missed , but price droped to 8SOL decided to buy an Ape (for 8SOL when SOL was around 30$ ) , at one point floor was 120SOL (around 30k$) and my ape is top2k i couldhave sold it eaisly for like 200SOL (30-40k , but my partner thought it was bad idea) , right now i still can sell it for like 70-80SOL but i'll keep it because for me this one still best project on sol .

NFT-s will exist for sure , but not every project , 99% of them are pure scam , but NFT and play to earn , might be big thing , i have one horse for example (De Race) , i'll race it and earn tokens .

Also i think old nft projects like Etheria (2015 , first NFT ever) , PixelMap (2nd nft ever) , Curio Cards might exist in the future too .

Excuse my english , because i used my pc to write this long post and i don't have autocorrect here to correct my mistakes .

So I've just learned that Coinbase pays you for staking with them. This interests me. However, they only provide tax documents if you make more than $600 in a year through it, which is a huge pain in the ass.

I thought NFT was dumb too until I know what "ownership" really means. There are a few things that made it "clicked" for me last year when I decided to jump into NFT:
1. How do you know mona lisa in Louvre is the real one? Well, you just have to trust that its real based on whatever you can get from google, louvre, art connosieaur, historians, etc.. But if mona lisa is digital art and its minted on blockchain by Michael Angelo himself.. then NOBODY can dispute whoever owns that NFT really owns the original it.
2. How do you know the rare pokemon card you own is really rare? and pokemon won't issue more of those in the future? same thing.. But if they are minted on blockchain we know EXACTLY how many of that rare pokemon card there are in the world.
3. Anything minted in blockchain is open and permissionless. Remember Diablo II where ppl farm items and sold it on secondary market? Now, if game companies start minting items are minted on blockchain now you can freely buy, sell, trade in open market rather than the game itself control the market. This also means that you don't waste all your precious time to play game and made nothing and get scolded by your parents.. P2E gaming will be big. Look at Axie Infinity
4. Related to game items on NFT.. because its open and permissionless.. if Diablo minted an "Excalibur" sword, other games can add that sword to their game. Ready Player One anyone?

Anyway... Albo, i got into Degen Ape, missed on Kongz =(
My biggest return so far on NFT is 0n1force, bought for 0.2eth, sold for 4th. and my SAND digital land, bought for 0.5, its currently around 4eth as well, I'm planning to hold it and buy more cause I'm planning to build a game with it with my son!

I also have my own NFT PFP project, https://houseofwarlords.com which has traits on chain (unlike all pfp projects out there that store their traits off chain), this enables our PFP to transfer traits (i.e. dress up your PFP). If anyone curious about this you can read my blogpost at https://medium.com/house-of-warlord...oot-inspired-on-chain-properties-51c9a9280615

Other than NFT, I've been dabbling with DeFi since early last year, yield farming and stuff

I think 2022 will be year of infrastructure and toolings as the industry is still lack of those, I'm planning to build some myself.. either analytics (like nansen, dune, messari), or DeFi strategy tool, PFP trading tool, etc... so many opportunities in this industry as its still immature and lots of gaps. Any builders and entrepreneurs out there who want to explore feel free to DM me!

My fellow Ohmies and I witnessed extreme sell pressure which resulted in another liquidation cascade. However, the treasury is stronger than ever. Also, proposals to differentiate rewards for holders vs jumpers will be passed similar to what newer protocols are rolling out.

Stay hard.
