I was at the airport in Luxembourg getting ready to get on a plane. An officer came to me and said I had been given a penalty. I wouldn't be able to go back home unless I took my penalty. Then a man came and told me "I'll take your penalty". I then realised it was Penaldo!!!
It was right man to step up, because it's what he gets paid for. I guess writing on public forum ain't what you're getting paid for, so why here?
Interesting video. Would’ve been better if we had some stats about his defensive contributions over the years.

What a load of shit for real. That's the problem with the internet, that a video made by stupid people and some other idiots are buying the agenda. They're showing he presses the least from top 5 leagues in the world, then showing up the names of some random strikers up there to boost the agenda, that he's even worse than these guys instead of showing Messi's, Salah's, Lewandowki's etc.

Pressing ain't something you're doing by yourself. You're supposed to do it as an unit and if you look at the Pool's first goal, it was 3 step press, where Bruno started it with a long run from the middlefield like a headless chicken, then strikers followed him 5 seconds later and then middlefield followed it couple seconds later. It turned out to be that once Bruno and strikers finished the press, ball was already past them and middlefield was moving up while ball already being past their strikers and with couple of passes, Pool got free 2v1. Man Utd just doesn't have smart players around there to work as an unit, whether it's pressing or just team play in general. They should do what most NT are doing, aka sitting quite deep and defending instead of wanting to play the most beautiful football, just because it's way easier to organize considering how they ain't together for a whole year to practice the tactics. There's a formation and system for stupid players, it tells you where to be because your own brains cannot comprehend how to play the game. That is why all these formations were invented.

Long season and 90min press every game, go ahead. Let me see these team doing it and Pep has been falling short multiple times in the spring because of this. Lots of games, tight schedule and managers trusting their starting 11 in tough leagues to fight for the domestic titles as well, while trying to play UCL, cup games and NT games on top of that. How smart it is, to always press, press and press? Is it some kind of media sexy word now once Ronaldo joined to Utd, meanwhile Pogba hasn't done it like ever? I'v seen the most pressing teams always falling short at some point, either by the injuries or just gassing out. It might be effective for a while, for a year but if you win everything and being in the finals of every tournament and your players are playing hundreds of these games in a short span, you're just wearing them out big time and then the slump comes, just like it happened to Liverpool last season by losing 5 home game straight and losing the players to injuries non stop.

People should wake up about these articles for so called "sport analysts" who are just analyzing things, for the sake of analyzing. I could make an analyze about an apple and find all the details why it has the health benefits n shit, but in the end, it's just an apple. Just like pressing, it ain't the only way to play the game and you're shooting yourself on the foot more often in a long run considering, there ain't 4 lines keeping up with the intensity while having the shifts just like in hockey. Ronaldo invests on those short bursts, all out intensity to get an advatange compared to defender. Anyone can jog 15km's a game with 10kmh pace no problem, but do that 90mins interval type and it feels way worse even km's are less. Ronaldo's job is to score goals and be sharp when chance comes, as he has done for fucking 20 years instead running like a headless chicken for a press full of teenagers with zero understanding of the game. These nerds with the glasses on and more experience on the HMTL than social life, neither to actually do sports their entire lifes should never be allowed to analyze anything, unless they've had the practical experience about how it works in real.

I respect Ronaldo as a player, it's just banter. Relax.

this is the problem with the people who say, juve was too unbalanced because of ronaldo.

ok geniuses. here we are playing with balanced teams now. still can't control game. still can't score goals. still can't dominate.

i'd take an unbalanced team with a guaranteed goal scorer over this shit anyday

That's the problem right there. People so this signing as a great accomplishment lol.
See I am not against but he is a fourth choice striker in my books but we spent 40 million euros as a loan plus obligation type of deal the problem is we wanted to save money and hope Allegri has a magic wand to turn this around

What i saw yesterday he was the only one not missing every other pass by 5m. Man Utd full of millenials on the front, like Greenwood and Rashford who have zero understanding of the game. They tried to press before Pool’s first goal, Bruno ran up there like a madman and then rest reacted to it 5seconds later and suddenly, their middlefield moved up as well and with couple passes Pool had 2v1. It’s so unorganized inside their team, like really full of millenials with no proper understanding of the game.

They should just sit back and totally base it on counters, so they wouldn’t be fully open like that. It’s literally a system made for the players with low IQ. Prime Barca had team full of players with high IQ and you could see it how they played with the ball and how organized they were. Once again, football is being played by the brains and these youngsters just doesn’t have it. We have team full of people with the Iq size of my shoe. Some of the players are just making better decisions for themselves and then there’s players who make better decisions for the team. Reading the game for example: whether they should move forward or back to defend if there’s a fight on the ball in the middlefield, it’s a decision to be made in your head and better players are always making better decisions in a long run. Like where to stand on the pitch, to make yourself available, whether to pass, dribble or shoot etc. Those players who ain’t understanding the game, are making those bad decisions all the time, but people just notice the shots, passes and losing the ball. There’s way more than that and everyone is playing without the ball most of the game, so why we are talking about technique all the time?

In the future there should be an IQ test for anybody we sign.
boomers still don’t know realize millennials are turning 40 now. Ronaldo is a millennial you egg
