ah yes, the euro in which he didn’t play
I really dont understand why people post this BS he played every match and was the match winner in the semi final of euros with a fantastic leaping header and assist in 2-0 win. There not getting into the final if ronaldo wasnt there. None of these were shit goals either and all important times.

Ronaldo won as many player or the Year awards as Messi as far as I am concerned. The 2018 one was his. Also he's won more CL titles and been at more clubs. Messi hasn't done anything that significant beyond the usual la liga titles since 2015. Hardly evolution.

CR7 usually has two group of haters:

Group 1 -LAZY WANKERS
People who are more talented or maybe as talented as him at their trades, but never has the motivation to sacrifice and achieve what he has. This is the kind of people that will vote Messi because he is just ‘naturally most talented’ unlike CR7 who might have been mildly talented but won so much through sheer determination and obsession, reminding all these lazy fugggs how much of their lives have been wasted.

Group 2 -UGLY BETA
Reasons: self explanatory.

and Messi has two kind of haters too:

1: short people
They’ve been told their entire lives that shorties suck at things and they hate seeing someone short be the most successful player in their sport.

2:alpha wannabes
They want to be alphas but they’re not

CR is supremely talented. He was already the best player in the world at 22.

Maybe not as naturally talented as Messi but still a generational talent.

Messi is rated higher than Ronaldo because he’s more breathtaking to watch.

Ronaldo is the ultimate athlete, an excellent finisher and a very effective footballer.

Messi is a magician and a genius. He can dribble through the most congested spaces and can play passes other players cannot even imagine.

Ronaldo is just as effective as Messi, but he’s simply not as mesmerizing to watch. Messi’s style of play captures audiences in a way Ronaldo’s does not. That’s why he’s rated higher.

This post will finally put an end to the Messi-Ronaldo debate. Well done bro.

The only reason people dislike Ronaldo has got to do with the arrogance and pompousness. Plus he played for ManUtd and Real, two clubs that are very easy to dislike even though they have a massive fanbase.

No one in their sane mind would dislike him for his ability on the pitch.

In that case Ronaldinho is better than both. I see what you mean though. IMO players should be judged on how effective they are on winning games. I don't think there has been a player more effective than Ronaldo during the modern era.

Against small teams like Alaves, Getafe, Saussolu, Empoli I would prefer Messi. He loves to score against them.

Against big teams of course Ronaldo. The bigger the team the stronger Ronaldo became. I am 1000% we wouldnt get past against Ateltico last year with messi instead Ronaldo, maybe we would have won 1-0 or something. The last round Messi turned himself was 2013 against Milan.

I would agree with this but people always compare 34 old ronaldo with messi or players in the past when a prime CR7 was breathtaking to watch and had everything bar passing, he wasnt just a finisher as hes labeled these days.

The problem with Ronaldinho is that:

1. He was only at the top for 3 years
2. He was never much of a goalscorer

Messi has had the same longevity as Ronaldo, and scores the same number of goals as Ronaldo. In that case, style of play is the tiebreaker.
