At the beginning of 2016/17 season nearly everybody said that he is finished and will leave Real Madrid for MLS. Then at January/February he hit his top form like every year and scored 5 goals against Bayern, hattrick against Atletico, Brace against Juve in CL Knock out matches and nearly in every la liga match 1-2 goals to win the La Liga title. Last season he scored Hattrick against Atletico, 2 goals against Ajax and was our best player in the return leg against them. Also rescued us against Inter and Torino. He was in beast mode at the end of last season but we saw that he cant do it all by himself due to age so we need give him the players to explode again. Look at Real now, they have become a joke without Ronaldo. His nearly 70 CL goals were the reason why they won 4 times in 5 years the CL. And still people call him FLOP, invisible, trash if doesnt score 2 goals per match here but dont note that he get created only 1 chance in every match. He is 35 years old, Juve needs to utilize his strenghts and not expect him to find new strenghts.

I am following him since over 12 years, in the last 4 years he has become a goal poacher with scoring about 70 Cl goals in the years from 2013-2018. What happened ? Real won 4 times UCL. So whats the problem with us ? Our midfield is fucking shit, he needs to move back therewith he gets the ball as none of our midfield players beside Pjanic get the ball forward. He is nearly 35 years !!! old, are you expecting from thim to dribble the whole team and score a bicycle goal ? First of all we have to get rid of Matuidi, Bentacur, Bernadeschi, Can and Khedira...sorry but they are players for a team like Genua, Atalanta, Wolverhampton. Good players but by far too bad for a team who wants to win the CL. Rabiot-Pjanic-Ramsey with Costa as a winger should make us 2 level stronger. So Ronaldo and Higuain can focus at SCORING and not getting the ball forward.
This totally explains him misplacing passes, missing sitters, and also his dreadful free kicks. Thanks for shedding light on this mystery. :baus:

the problem,

he lost his free-kick magic already, we can deal with it, but lost his dribbling skills, lost power in shooting, can't control the ball and lost his touch to score is jsut very bad...I think our management should end this at the end of the season,

but for now,

he must start from the bench or at least play few games ....
sad

Ronaldo isnt finished he is just on mediocre form (still scoring tho) like he often is early on in the season.

im not panicking about it but still it is fair to criticise him.

Really my only beef with Ronaldo right now was his absurd comments about only caring in the important games. hugely unprofessional imo the club and fans deserve better than that kind of shit from him. even if you dont feel it you should still lie in that instance

For me,

the expectations always high with the supposed, the best player in the world.

now I lowered my expectations this season into just contribute positively to the game, goal assist, scoring every 2 - 3 matches just a goal it's fine.

the problem Ronaldo movement is very slow and this will not help to attack other teams, his shooting is very weak on the goal, that goalkeepers catch it at ease,

and i see him, get rid of ball frequently to nearest mate instead of creating something ....his contribution to our attack is very low compared to last season

CR7 in heavy decline and this is clear from the beginning of the season ....just the results are hiding this ...and surprisingly the one we wanted to get rid off, Higgy

doing what we wanted CR7 to do... Higgy holds the ball well, opens up the play, threat the goalkeeper, assist, score .....

Hope like you said it's temporary and his performance will escalate, but I have my doubts.

Also, he said it by himself, indirectly, the man want to play the important matches, this means, he can't play regularly his age reflects on him ....

and this is the same with Messi, he said himself, that he can't play 90 min now, he can start from the bench .....

I think Sarri should do the same, bench CR7 and let him play in the important matches and let's find the new CR7 like Nedved said....

my friend, it's not he is unprofessional, he sends a message to Sarri that he can't play all matches because of his age ....and better we find solution before everything look very bad later .... the best way, Higgy & Dybala starters and CR7 come from the bench ....during top matches CR7 starts and nothing wrong with htis

this is the best player in the world, the expectations are always higher ...

I don't expect one game beast performance in comparison to 10 weak ones ....

till now, we are doing well in attack surprisingly because of the two we wanted to get rid off , Dybala & Higgy ...check back all the previous matches and CR7 is not

doing what justifies him as the best in the world ...that is why the conclusions .... BUT hope we manage this problem ...then say thank you and goodbye at the end of the season ...

He hasnt been crap in every game this season that is just hyperbole nonsense he has 6 goals and one assist in 11 matches and Inter was are biggest game this year and he was one of the best players on the pitch that game and was very good was bologna which was 3 matches ago or so but he was sucked badly since then.

Like i said your doing the same thing other stupid people have done since hes hit 30 claiming hes finished and should sell to china when were not even half way into a season and he always had a slow start to the season the last couple of years.

Our lack of a competent midfield exacerbates his bad form. The lack of quality behind him results in him having to drop deep and create something from nothing for himself more often than not - just check his heat maps. He gets max 1-2 chances created for him per game. The rest - garbage service. At 34 almost 35 years old, I don't think we can expect him to be the same marauding winger picking up the ball from deep and beating 2-3 players to smash the ball into the top corner. At Madrid, his task load was much less in his last 3-4 years there but he was twice as effective as he is now.

I don't buy the decline talk either as he's still great whenever he plays for Portugal.

Finally someone who understands it- in Portugal you see the real Ronaldo who scores braces and Hattricks for fun like in his Real Madrid years. Then suddenly he plays for Juve and need to play and run like a 25 years old with 35! years to get a ball.

All goalkeepers turn world class when they play against Juventus and also Also Sarri plays khedira and berna when he has Rabiot and Ramsey.

Last year that would be a valid reason, especially in our last 10 games where we are playing like a Serie B team.
This year, Ronaldo has had so many opportunities to score goals, it’s silly to blame the team for his lack of goals. Ronaldo in top form would’ve been in double digits in the league and 3-4 goals in the CL already.

He missed more chances in first half of last season. Same the season before with Real.

I struggle to see how he would be in double digits in the league unless he was literally superman. Even at Man City where chances are created at the rate babies are being born, Aguero still "only" has 9 goals in the league as City's top scorer. In fact, the highest scorer in the top 5 league is Lewandowski with 14 goals and Juve physically haven't created chances for Ronaldo to get anywhere close to that tally. With the way we play, he would probably need to have a 100% conversion rate and that too from chances that aren't even real chances. Maybe in the CL you might have a point but that would only be from the game against Leverkusen where he could've scored 2-3. The other games, he didn't really have much opportunities (against Atletico his teammates, like Higuain were more selfish).

We've struggled with creativity and end product in serie A, no doubt about it. The only game where we've had any sort of fluidity and genuinely looked like we could score at any time was the 1st half against Napoli and against Inter. Every other game was very laboured and disjointed - looking even worse than we did under Allegri. Cearly there's something inherently wrong when out of 11 match days, we've only managed to win 1 game by more than a goal margin (the 2-0 win against SPAL). And we are very rarely able to score more than 1 or 2 in a game. It's not even like the rest of the team is playing well and Ronaldo is firing blanks (which was sometimes the case at Madrid when he was off form). Literally our entire play is utter shambles going forward, which is why I'm more concerned about the team as a whole atm as opposed to Ronaldo.

We don't really have creators in our team. Something like a Di Maria
