Its bit different tho in that its hes first season here after the club spent a 100 million on him and hes clearly trying to impress very hard and knows the whole world is watching to see him fail in serie A. Hes been dropping out all of portugals games just to focus on the team aswell.
That's such a failed logic lol. According to that logic, then without Perin yesterday, we would have lost 23-1, because he stopped some balls and did the job of a goalkeeper.
You see the problem with such logic right?
You forget that we don't want to just remove a player, but also put another player in. There is good reason to believe that with Costa yesterday, we wouldn't have needed a random penalty call to win. We won't know that, but we know that your logic is very incomplete.
He did get a lot of rest early on in the season during his last few years with Madrid. I think he needs to skip a few games altogether. Our team is insane, even without Ronaldo we should be more than good enough to win in Serie A anyway.
cr's record against atletico: 29 matches (played more matches only against barca), 22 goals (3rd most against any club), 8 assists (3rd most also), 8 defeats (only barcelona beat cr's club more times). also, 17 penalty goals, the most against any club. so atleti can neutralize cr pretty well: 5 goals from open play in 29 matches, that's around a non-penalty goal in every 500 minutes.

Atletico close defense is being almost forever by now so there's not surprise in those numbers for me... They play hard ball so penalties are around the air all the time
