not sure evidence suggests that. the way I see it, most damning thing for Ronaldos public image is the off-court settlement he reached with Mayorga. given that it leaked to Spiegel a year ago and amidst all the recent outrage Cristiano or his lawyers have never challenged its existence, I think it's pretty safe to say this deal between them happened.
How is the deal damaging to him? On the contrary, the deal makes it extremely unlikely that there will be court ruling in her favor and allows him to sue her for damages for violating the non-disclosure agreement.

From a PR perspective, the deal makes are look like a gold digger even more.

Nike and EA have a different relationship with Ronaldo compared to Juve, they're both selling him as an idol and having a shadow like that damages their sales greatly. Knowing that there was a rape allegation and Ronaldo paid the woman off 10 years ago, both of which seem true from what has been revealed, is probably enough for them to cut ties with Cristiano.

Having said that, it seems like Marotta is missed already, that tweet was terrible.
The main difference is that Nike and EA can drop him and we are stuck with him.

The deal is what gives the accusation credibility and makes it serious . You don't donate 370k just like that, obviously there was something fishy going on that Ronaldo wanted to hush.

370k is nothing compared to the damage she would cause by going public. This is no indication of guilt but it does hurt her credibility that she is going back on the settlement.

If CR7 was still a RM player most of you guys would be on her side. The line between right and wrong is the team he plays. Sad truth.
Man, you're an idiot. Insane. I hope you stay as far away as possible from court. So fucking clueless.

she can only hurt him publicly if she has something to base her claims on, them paying her off indicates that she had.

either she is very very good at gold digging to take on Ronaldo and all his money or he did something wrong to her

No. Mere allegations can cause great damage on their own.

As for the NDA settlement; people settle for many reasons. Ronaldo, I'm sure, will argue that he settled the matter because of fear of what the allegations and the case dragging out might had done to his image.

Obviously. This is the case in a nutshell.

Regarding the tweet from our club. Ronaldo was reportedly furious with Real Madrid for not backing him publicly when the tax evasion case came up (Barca did it for Messi during his case). Due to our huge investment and being so early into his Juve career, we were basically backed into a corner here. Whether it was the right or wrong move time will tell. Obviously only Ronaldo and that girl know the truth here. It´s a sad situation regardless. As others have pointed out, I think it will be resolved unless other women start coming forward too.
