His obsession with winning and being the best gives it all away. There's definitely some emotional issues there.

I remember Rio Ferdinand saying that he once beat him in table tennis and so Ronaldo bought a table and kept practicing till he finally beat Rio.
Evra told the same story about Cristiano and Rio. Apparently hanging out with Cristiano was "work": ie: he'd have Evra do keep-up competitions etc.

That's MJ level obbssessive competiveness, the type of personally who is in it to excell over all in everything. GOAT level drive. That's why he cries on pitch sometimes if someone fvcks up what was about to be a goal for him lol.

Absolutely. That insecurity is probably what brought him to work his way to footballing and physical perfection.when channeled properly it has clearly been an asset for him

Besides, he seems to have matured alot since having a bunch of kids.

Seems like every legendary winner ever ?
Yeah, they're all like that. You don't get that good with skill and some hard work alone. They're mentalists when it comes to competing.

Will Smith said Tiger Woods is like Jordan too, just on a diff level of competitiveness.

Rough childhood. Hard times make you break, maintain status quo, or for those who rise above, they make you superhuman.

I think that is a bit presumptious to say he had some uniquely rough childhood or that his success is down to iy. Maybe he is just insecure, competitive and obsessive enough to channel that into success
