This might be an unpopular opinion but sacking him and not getting Conte to me is actually worse. I think sacking your DS a couple of weeks before the transfer market opens means you need to re-negotiate deals that were already going, start a new round of interviews with player agents and need to re-think recruitment strategy.

I hate this fvcker for the mess he created, but going in to the transfer market without a DS isn't a much better option imo. Not if you also need a new coach and have an absolute shit squad.
