Conte would have resigned if his transfer demands would not have been met by Giuntoli.
They would have been met, we spend a shit ton of money on Di Gregorio, Koop, Douglas and Nico.

I'd rather see us relegated than get that huge smug Conte back.
As much as I dont like him, he would for sure have at least 42/3 points at this stage. Plus Napoli would have been 5th at most without him.

I agree on that tbh. I'd just rather get any other trainer alive than him.

But did he? He burnt those bridges with previous management did he not?

Id take conte back in a heartbeat.
Yeah it seemed like he'd made up with the club. He'd been at a few club events last season and I'm sure was at the stadium for a game(s).

I don't think that'd have happened if there was still a problem.

No jan signings yet means he is working on the motta exit instead? Easier to find a manager than bring in a handful of quality players in a jan market.

no manager would be happy with only 2 cb's and 1 cf

what's infuriating is that these were well known facts for even fans: bremer and cabal got injured months ago, danilo hasn't been used by motta since months (and they most certainly discussed an exit way before we did), and milik has been useless since forever so a reserve 9 was a well known necessity since forever also. the new players should have been here on the 2nd of january, and danilo should have been at motta's disposal until the last day of the mercato. this is simply unacceptable squad management

Things that many here said over the summer:

- We don't need another goalkeeper, it is a poor use of funds with a squad full of issues.
- We need another striker.
- We have overpaid for Koop.
- CB is too weak.
- We need fullbacks.
- We are giving up on Huijsen too soon when he could be useful and the price is too low.

Halfway through the season and all have unsurprisingly become issues. Worrying that our guy who is paid virtually double the next highest paid Sporting Director, couldn't see this.
And there I used to mock Marotta's eyes... fuck knows what's wrong with Sleepy Joe's
